Katee Sackhoff is happy about her character Bo-Katan appearing in The Mandalorian. Sackhoff made her live-action debut as Bo-Katan Kryze in season 2, episode 3, titled "Chapter 11: The Heiress." Sackhoff was also the voice of the hero in Star Wars: The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels

In The Mandalorian episode, Bo-Katan and her team of Koska Reeves (Sasha Banks) and Axe Woves (Simon Kassianides) save Din Djarin and Baby Yoda from a mamacore. However, rather than thanking them, Din Djarin asks Bo-Katan where got her armor after the trio takes their helmets off to introduce themselves. Bo-Katan brushes off Djarin's insinuation that she must not be a Mandalorian and explains she's looking to reclaim two things that are rightfully hers. One is the Darksaber, while the other is the throne of Mandalore, as Bo-Katan used to be a regent. After Djarin helps Bo-Katan and company take an Imperial ship full of weapons, she informs him the Jedi that can help him in his quest to reunite Baby Yoda with his kind is Ahsoka Tano, another fan favorite Clone Wars/Rebels character.

Needless to say, Sackhoff's appearance in "The Heiress" was quite exciting for Star Wars fans. Sackhoff expressed her utter delight over appearing in the episode on her Twitter page. Check out what the actress had to say about her Mandalorian debut below:

Sackhoff's joy over playing Bo-Katan is an extra treat for The Mandalorian viewers. The actress did a fantastic job translating her animated character portrayal of Bo-Katan to the live-action version of the character. Thanks to Bo-Katan, Djarin learned that not all Mandalorians follow the same strict teachings he was raised on in terms of helmet removal. Bo-Katan's introduction also provided fans with some much needed Mandalorian history, as well as offering more context to the importance of the Darksaber Moff Gideon was shown wielding in the season 1 finale.

Of course, Bo-Katan also served as the link for the eagerly anticipated introduction of Ahsoka Tano into the world of The Mandalorian. Tano was Anakin Skywalker's Padawan in Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Tano actually helped Bo-Katan fight to take Mandalore back from the clutches of Darth Maul during the Siege of Mandalore. The two have a long history together, so it makes perfect sense for Bo-Katan to tell Djarin to seek Tano for help in his quest.

"The Heiress" was undoubtedly a turning point for season two of The Mandalorian. Sackhoff's excellent portrayal of Bo-Katan seamlessly tied years of Clone Wars/Rebels history together in order to push the story forward. Ahsoka's imminent arrival is of course exciting, but hopefully fans will see more of Bo-Katan as well before season 2 concludes.
