Rosario Dawson's highly-anticipated The Mandalorian debut as Ahsoka Tano gets imagined in a new piece of detailed fan art. The Mandalorian season 2 kicked off last Friday on Disney+ to a generally positive reception among fans. Following the extremely well-received season 1, anticipation for its sophomore run was quite high, particularly since a handful of fan favorite Star Wars characters are slated to appear. The season 2 premiere featured a quick glimpse of Boba Fett (Temeura Morrison), and he's just the beginning. In particular, fans are excited to see The Clone Wars MVP Ahsoka Tano make her live-action debut.

Earlier this year, Rosario Dawson was confirmed to have a guest role in The Mandalorian season 2. At the time, it was reported that she would be playing Ahsoka, but Disney itself has never officially confirmed that to be the case. Nevertheless, fans have braced for Ahsoka's Mandalorian debut, which has yet to be revealed in any shape or form. Ahsoka has been kept out of all season 2 trailers, leaving her role and appearance to be a complete mystery. This has left fans to come up with their own ideas about how Dawson will look as Ahsoka in The Mandalorian season 2.

This latest piece comes from Raf Grassetti and depicts Dawson as the beloved onetime Jedi. Even without expressly saying it's Dawson, the image looks just like her, showing she'll make a good live-action Ahsoka. Fans can also scroll through to see Grassetti's pieces of Darth Maul, another Clone Wars favorite. Check them out down below.

There have been countless theories about what will lead to Ahsoka's arrival in season 2, and only time will tell if any prove to be correct. Many hope that Ahsoka will join Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) in his quest to finding a safe home for Baby Yoda. That certainly seems like a viable situation, but anything could happen. By appearing in The Mandalorian, audiences will get the chance to see Ahsoka years after her final animated appearance in Star Wars Rebels.

Needless to say, there's a lot of anticipation surrounding Ahsoka's arrival in The Mandalorian season 2. Now that Boba Fett made his first appearance in the premiere, Ahsoka could really arrive at any point. Since Disney has kept so much of her season 2 role a mystery, fans will be pleasantly surprised when she does turn up. Hopefully, she'll look just like the art shown above, since that hyper-realistic picture really does an excellent job of turning Dawson into Ahsoka. Perhaps Ahsoka will appear in Friday's episode, thus putting an end to the rampant speculation.
