The first two seasons of The Mandalorian have undoubtedly been a huge success. Not only have they been a smash hit for Disney+, but the show overall is beloved by the Star Wars fandom. That is in large part to the fantastic characters of the show who so often deliver incredible scenes that have and will continue to stick in the minds of fans.

The main characters of Grogu and Din Djarin, alongside prominent recurring characters like Greef Karga, Gideon, Cara Dune, the Armorer, and others, all get their chance to shine in the show.

Migs Mayfeld - Shooting Valin Hess

The Mandalorian, Mayfeld, Valin Hess, and Mando talking

A fan-favorite character who pops up in both seasons of the show is Migs Mayfeld, a mercenary and former Imperial sharpshooter who, in season 2, is a fantastic part of "Chapter 15: The Believer."

Here, he and Din infiltrate an Imperial refinery and come across Valin Hess, Mayfeld's former commanding officer. After toasting the Empire and talking about their many atrocities, Hess is shot by Mayfeld. It is undoubtedly one of the best moments from a recurring side character in the show, a fist-pump scene that nobody blames Mayfeld for, even if it made the mission more difficult.

Bo-Katan Kryze - Her Reintroduction

Bo-Katan Kryze from The Mandalorian

One of the finest original Clone Wars characters made her long-rumored appearance in The Mandalorian in season 2, and it was worth the wait to see the badass Mandalorian warrior in live-action.

Kryze will likely have more of a role in future seasons of the show, but thus far, her reintroduction is her most iconic scene. Saving Din from the Quarren, kicking ass, and taking off her helmet to reveal the fantastic Katee Sackhoff reprising her role, it all works so excellently. From this scene, it is made immediately clear Katan's goals of getting back to Mandalore, and it looks like that is where audiences will be taken in the future.

The Armorer - "...The Songs Of Eons Past..."

The Armorer within The Mandalorian's forge

The Armorer was a fascinating part of the series first season but never returned for season 2, with her whereabouts currently unknown. Every one of her scenes thus far, though, has been great.

Overall, her last scene is her most memorable. She tells Din about the Jedi and how he has to get Grogu back to his people. She is also left alone underground to fend off a detachment of stormtroopers, whom she handily deals with in a badass manner with her forging tools, showing off that famous Mandalorian skill in fighting.

Kuiil - Death

Nick Nolte as Kuiil in The Mandalorian

Another character to have only appeared in the show's first season, but who will not return in the future, is Kuiil, a character who made a big impact on Din, helping both him and Grogu throughout his time on the show.

Kuiil became famous for his line "I have spoken." which is featured in his first scene of the show. While Kuiil is great, his quote is more famous than any of his other individual scenes. His death, though, was a great moment full of tension and sadness as he raced back to the Razor Crest to save Grogu, only to be beaten to the punch by two Scout Troopers.

IG-11 - Sacrificing Himself For Grogu & The Heroes

One of Kuiil's most crucial contributions to season 1 is reprogramming IG-11 to become a nurse droid for Grogu. The hilarious droid was great whenever he appeared in the show, and like Kuiil, he has a great death.

With a platoon of stormtroopers awaiting the heroes outside of a lava river, they were pretty much doomed. Then IG-11 sacrificed himself by self-destructing at the end of the tunnel, taking out the stormtroopers. This moment is not only great because it is a badass death, but because it highlighted some of Din's growth in terms of warming up to droids.

Greef Karga - Getting Healed By Grogu

Grogu Force-heals Greef Karga in The Mandalorian

One of the best recurring characters is Greef Karga, agent of the Bounty Hunter's Guild and a key ally of Mando across both seasons of the show.

Greef has some great scenes on his own, but undoubtedly the one he will be most remembered for is when Grogu Force heals him. It is not just a moment that highlights Grogu's further incredible power with the Force but it also led Karga to help Din rather than betray him as he originally planned.

Cara Dune - Becoming A New Republic Marshal

Carson Teva makes Cara Dune a New Republic Marshal in The Mandalorian.

Even if the fate of Carasynthia Dune is unknown, the character provided some good moments. As a warrior and a badass, there are many action scenes for her to shine, but her most iconic scene is a bit more personal.

It comes - arguably - when she is offered a role in the New Republic by Carson Teva and refuses. The two have a personal conversation that reveals the depth of Dune's character.

Moff Gideon - Wielding The Darksaber

Moff Gideon vs Mando Darksaber in The Mandalorian

To this point, Gideon has been the main antagonist of The Mandalorian and has been great in that role. Every scene involving Moff has been excellent and memorable for audiences.

His emerging with the darksaber from his crashed TIE, introducing himself on Nevarro, and talking to Grogu are all fantastic choices. His duel with Mando, though, is incredible. The performers and choreography are top-notch, and it showcases the skill of both combatants. This duel is likely going to be one of the best lightsaber-esque battle fans get from the show.

Grogu - The Reveal Of The Child

Din Djarin finds Baby Yoda in The Mandalorian

Grogu is a phenomenon like no other, dominating the pop culture zeitgeist and every conversation in the fandom for a long time. There are so many fantastic scenes from the young-ish Yoda-like being.

However, none of them, whether they be his immense scene with the Mudhorn or any of his wonderfully adorable moments, have the shock factor of his debut. It was kept under wraps so perfectly; nobody saw it coming. It led to so much speculation and was shrouded in mystery, and on top of that kicked off one of the best relationships in Star Wars between Din and Grogu.

Din Djarin - Saying Goodbye

Mando says goodbye to Grogu in The Mandalorian

That special father/son relationship between Din and Grogu has given way to so many great scenes and personal moments in the show. It also has led to such a terrific growth and development in Din's character that culminated with their final scene together.

The most emotional scene in The Mandalorian by a mile thus far is the goodbye between them. Din willingly taking off his helmet, Luke Skywalker standing right there, Grogu touching the face of Din, Din saying goodbye, the whole thing is spectacularly done, capping off the second season perfectly.
