Katee Sackhoff, the actress behind the live-action Bo-Katan in The Mandalorian, is hoping for a reunion of Bo-Katan and Ahsoka Tano. With the series reintroducing both characters last season, the fan-favorite female warriors were seen in live-action for the first time. And with Disney+ launching a number of other Star Wars projects in the next couple of years, the team up between the pair might just happen.

Both Bo-Katan Kryze and Ahsoka Tano were introduced in George Lucas’s The Clone Wars animated series. While Ahsoka saw more screentime as audiences followed her journey as Anakin’s padawan and her exit from the Jedi Order, Bo-Katan’s story defending Mandalore alongside her sister and Obi-Wan Kenobi was just as captivating. The last time the pair were together in The Clone Wars was in the closing episodes of the series, where they worked together to repel Darth Maul and his forces from Mandalore in the closing days of the war.

While speaking to /Film recently, The Mandalorian’s Bo-Katan, Katee Sackhoff, expressed her eagerness for a team-up with the live-action Ahsoka Tano. Especially since Tano is portrayed by Rosario Dawson, who Sackhoff shares a passion for HIV and AIDS advocacy through amfAR with. As it turns out, Sackhoff has been a fan of Dawson for a long time, explaining:

“I've been watching her since I was very, very young. Well, we were both very, very young. We're the same age. She's been acting way longer than I have! I remember watching 'Kids' when I was young and just being absolutely blown away by not only their performances, but the subject matter. It changed the trajectory of a lot of my philanthropic work with amfAR. I love Rosario. I've never had the pleasure of meeting her. So maybe one of these days."

Bo-Katan and Ahsoka Tano part ways in The Clone Wars

Ahsoka is set to get her own solo series on Disney+ soon, and may appear in The Mandalorian season 3, which could be a good setting for a reunion with Bo-Katan. And with Bo-Katan being able to guide Din Djarin toward Ahsoka in Season 2, it seems clear the characters have kept in touch over the years. Of course, with Bo-Katan needing to face off against Djarin to claim the Darksaber, and Ahsoka being an ally of the Mando, there is also the possibility that Bo-Katan and Ahsoka’s reunion could be as adversaries.

No matter what, it is an exciting time for fans of The Clone Wars and The Mandalorian. The only real fear at this time is that Disney might be pushing too much content at once and potentially watering down the creative juices, with Obi-Wan, The Mandalorian season 3, The Book of Boba Fett, and Ahsoka (to name a few projects) all in the works around the same time. If The Book of Boba Fett premieres to lukewarm reviews, it may be the first sign of such a trend. The good news is, Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau are still overseeing many of the streaming projects, and they have yet to let viewers down.
