Baby Yoda and the eponymous main character from The Mandalorian have just become the latest to take on the "Please Don't Go" viral TikTok trend. The "Please Don't Go" Challenge is one that began permeating the internet some time last month. Now the trend has expanded into the Mandalorian world.

For the trend, two or more people stare into the camera as they sing the lyrics to Mike Posner's 2010 song "Please Don't Go." It ends with the same two people wearing headscarves and sunglasses as they travel away. The outfit is one associated with women running away from their romantic partners. Over the last month, the "Please Don't Go" Challenge has been pretty much everywhere, with videos of the trend getting millions of views and thousands upon thousands of TikTok users participating in this new viral trend. With that in mind, it's not all that surprising that some fictional pop culture figures would be thrown into the mix. The Mandalorian and Baby Yoda, two Star Wars characters who most recently appeared in Disney+'s The Mandalorian, fit that description.

Recently, a video of The Mandalorian, whose actual name is Din Djarin, and Baby Yoda, whose name is technically Grogu, participating in the "Please Don't Go" Challenge surfaced on the internet. In the first part of the footage posted by the mcannatarofilms account, the two characters are sitting on a vehicle in a desert-like environment as Djarin, a character who's already gone viral a few times, sits on the Mandalorian's lap. In the next moment, they're both wearing headscarves and sunglasses as they ride through space as the song soundtracks their journey. This video appears to have been made by a fan rather than anyone connected to Disney. See the full video below:

The Mandalorian saw its second season debut last fall. The program quickly became very popular soon after it was released onto Disney+ in November 2019. It follows the exploits of Din Djarin, who is a Mandalorian looking to protect Grogu from Moff Gideon, a menacing presence who wants to use Grogu's connection to The Force for his own benefit. The show has received near-unanimous acclaim from critics. With all of the support it's seen, along with a central character seemingly designed for virality, it's going to be around for a while. The third season of The Mandalorian is already in the works.

The "Please Don't Go" Challenge continues the trend of revitalizing songs that came out years and years ago. "Please Don't Go" peaked at No. 16 on the Billboard Hot 100 the same year it was released,  but surely no one would have expected it to be injected into the internet consciousness in this way so many years later. With this challenge being around for just a little over a month, it wouldn't be a surprise to see more movie and TV characters get injected into this viral craze.
