These days, it seems like the Baby Yoda character from The Mandalorian television show is popping up everywhere, even in the beverages of former Star Wars cast members. The breakout star of Disney+'s original hit series The Mandalorian, the small green alien child known as Baby Yoda has been the center of multiple memes and internet gifs since its first appearance, and love for the little Force user seems to be only growing with further exposure.

Now on Chapter Five, The Mandalorian continues to tell the story of the rogue bounty hunter and his minuscule companion. Since the show is set between the events of Star Wars: Return of the Jedi and Star Wars: The Force Awakens, there hasn't been much of a crossover between characters from the latest Star Wars film trilogy. However, such a discrepancy hasn't stopped some characters from the Star Wars family interacting with Baby Yoda in their own ways.

Thanks to a recent Instagram post by Star Wars: The Last Jedi and Jurassic Park actress Laura Dern, fans now have proof even veteran Star Wars characters like Dern's Admiral Holdo have a soft spot for Baby Yoda. Posted with the caption "I'm feeling quite understood today," Dern expresses the simple joy which manifests itself in most Star Wars fans and seems to excessively permeate whenever a depiction of Baby Yoda is nearby.

Luckily for fans, it seems as if Disney knows how much of a marketing goldmine they have stumbled onto with the introduction of the Baby Yoda character, even if the current batch of The Mandalorian merchandise doesn't reflect it. Thanks to certain comments made by Star Wars: The Last Jedi director Rian Johnson, fans know Baby Yoda will likely be around at least until The Mandalorian's second season, and, if Disney is smart about it, into the foreseeable future.

Although the fate of Laura Dern's character was sealed by the end of The Last Jedi, seeing a depiction of Baby Yoda next to the Star Wars and Jurassic Park star is sure to make fans wonder if Admiral Holdo ever met the creature in her previous travels. Surely the character must have gone on multiple adventures and seen many battlefields in order to gain the rank of Admiral in the first place, and given the incredibly lengthy life-span of Yoda's species it wouldn't be hard to imagine a scenario where the two characters met, with Dern even perhaps fighting alongside The Mandalorian himself. With a number of unexplored years and a whole new season's worth of episodes coming soon, only time will tell if The Mandalorian links up with any other tangential characters in the Star Wars universe.
