The Mandalorian's Baby Yoda now has his very own song inspired by “Dear Theodosia” from Hamilton: An American Musical. The critically acclaimed musical follows the life of American founding father Alexander Hamilton. In Act 1 of Hamilton, characters Aaron Burr and Alexander Hamilton sing “Dear Theodosia” as they welcome their children into the world.

It wouldn’t be outlandish to deem Baby Yoda the Internet's newborn child. Ever since The Mandalorian's "surprise" unveiling of infant-style Yoda, the internet has turned him into a household name; he is everywhere; the amount of Baby Yoda memes, GIFs, and fan art online right now is unprecedented. The character’s social media presence has been greater than any of the 2020 president candidates—it’s safe to say everyone has Baby Yoda fever. A puppet of the character reportedly even brought Werner Herzog to tears. Two men have decided it was time to capitalize on everyone’s affection for the adorable Force user.

The Ringer staff members, Isaac K. Lee and Jason Gallagher (known collaboratively as Ice2Ice) have recorded a song entitled “Dear Baby Yoda.” Similarly to “Dear Theodosia,” “Dear Baby Yoda” is a proclamation of good will and a bright future; the duo sing about how they “will dedicate every meme” to Baby Yoda while ensuring his survival into season 2 (“Mando will fight for you”). The entire music video is a heartwarming/satirical dose of Baby Yoda fever. Check out it below.

The Ringer's Twitter page has completely devoted themselves #DearBabyYoda. Their charming mockery of the Internet's Baby Yoda obsession is right about one thing: Baby Yoda will be back in The Mandalorian's second season. In an interview, Star Wars: The Last Jedi director, Rian Johnson accidentally revealed that he saw Baby Yoda upon visiting the season 2 setHowever, no one can really call that a spoiler considering how intricate a part of the story Baby Yoda seems to be.

From his role as a plot device (being the target of a hefty bounty), status as Force sensitive, and mysterious species to his ever-evolving relationship with Mando and 50-year-old good looks, Baby Yoda is one of the greatest things The Mandalorian has going for it. His position as a viral sensation not only brings an impressive amount of attention to the Star Wars brand (which is great from the upcoming Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker) but adds a layer of credibility to Disney+'s launch. If any of the many fan theories are correct, and Baby Yoda changes Star Wars canon (potentially tying into Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker), then Baby Yoda will indeed "blow us all away."
