This coming summer, Dark Horse Books, teaming up with Ubisoft, is releasing The Making of Assassin’s Creed: 15th Anniversary Edition, celebrating the creation of one of the most celebrated video game series of the modern era in Assassin’s Creed. Screen Rant has the exclusive details.
From the release of the original Assassin’s Creed in 2007 to today, the series has traveled the world over. From the original game’s vast Holy Land to Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla’s sprawling Viking-age England, Ubisoft’s videogame series has enthralled fans for a decade and a half. With its stealth-action gameplay and blending of historical fiction with sci-fi, the series has followed the titular Assassins through history as they battle the forces of the Templars, with the back-to-basics Assassin’s Creed Mirage launching in 2023 and the live-service Assassin’s Creed Infinity platform on the horizon, it’s the perfect time to celebrate and revisit the series via a new behind-the-scenes book.
Written by Alex Calvin, The Making of Assassin’s Creed: 15th Anniversary Edition is a hardcover book detailing the behind-the-scenes creation of the entire Assassin’s Creed franchise. The book contains a bevy of exclusive content, from original art to interviews with the series’ creators and other exclusive looks behind the curtain at how each game in the franchise was conceptualized and realized. In addition, at the same time as the Standard Edition, a Hardcover Deluxe Edition of the book will also be released, featuring an exclusive slipcase and cover, as well as two lithograph prints in their own folio.

The Standard and Deluxe editions of The Making of Assassin’s Creed: 15th Anniversary Edition both release in bookstores on June 20, 2023 and in comics shops on June 21, 2023, with pre-orders at comic shops available today.
