The situation was complex for Jennifer Aniston with the project, A Mighty Heart. She was initially involved in the movie but ended up taking a step back, seemingly due to the breakup between herself and Brad Pitt, who was also part of the project.

Initially, they worked together with their production company to get the rights to the story, but only Pitt went on to work on the project. The fact that Brad Pitt's next partner, Angelina Jolie then ended up with the lead role only added to the drama around this particular movie role.

A television role that Jennifer Aniston was up for was NCIS, which would have been a great role for her to take on. However, despite things being worked out for her to join the show, scheduling issues ended up stopping that from ever taking place.

Aniston was still working on Friends at the time, and for her to have been involved in NCIS, the show would've had to delay shooting. With that not being possible for the entire series, the two parties had to move on with new plans.

SNL (1975 - )

Jennifer Aniston hosting SNL

SNL is one of the greatest television shows of all time, but early on in Jennifer Aniston's career, she actually turned down the show. This was a decision she actually made before ever landing her role on Friends, which changed Jennifer's career, making her choice even more surprising.

However, the reason behind her decision was that she felt SNL was a "boy's club" at the time, which is something that the actress didn't want to be part of. In the end, Anniston turned down the opportunity, but she has gone on to appear on the show later in her career.
