So far, the titular ex-Navy SEAL and current private investigator Thomas Magnum has solved multiple complex crimes in Hawaii and managed to look cool while doing it.

One of the reasons Magnum does his job so well is because he is surrounded by very capable friends and associates. The simplicity of the characters makes them all easy to relate to. But which one is more similar to you? By using the 12 zodiac signs, it's easier to draw parallels between ourselves and these fictional characters.

Aries - Thomas Magnum

The Aries zodiac is filled with daring, assured, and passionate people. They have a couple of glaring weaknesses too, as they can be insecure, temperamental, and impulsive. Such traits can be found in Thomas Magnum.

The P.I. is very passionate about his work. He always fancies himself to go head-on with the best Magnum P.I villains, even when they have way more resources and power than him. However, Magnum leaps before looking, way too many times, making audiences fear for him, Additionally, his insecurity normally emerges whenever Higgins gets a boyfriend, yet he claims she is just a friend.

Taurus - Jin Jeong

Tauruses are easygoing, stoic, and practical. When the coin is turned, their naivety becomes visible. It's a trait that usually prevents them from achieving their best as is the case with Jeong.

Jeong fails in most of the things he does but this never stops him from staying happy and positive. Additionally, Jeong can always be expected to never be aware of how serious the consequences of his actions are.

Gemini - Kenneth "Shammy" Shamberg

Geminis are characterized by their innovativeness, social nature, and adaptability. However, they are reluctant and inconsistent too. In the CBS show, these traits fit Shammy.

Having initially been depressed about the paralysis that resulted from injuries sustained during the Iraq War, Shammy embraces his new life in Hawaii and goes on to live happily. His engineering skills are unsurpassed too, as he always manages to fix things machines that his friends can't. But as a friend, he isn't consistent. Fans might also have noticed how he keeps snubbing the tight-knit circle of former military men for long periods of time.

Cancer - Orville "Rick" Wright

Cancers are diligent, sentimental, and tenacious. During their low moments, they are disagreeable, vindictive, and moody. In the reboot, Rick is the quintessential Cancer.

From the manner in which he runs Oahu's coolest nightclub, viewers are able to see just how diligent Rick is. He'll stop at nothing to make sure the business runs smoothly, something that makes him one of the most likable Magnum P.I. characters. Rick likes to reminisce about his military days too. He's generally a good friend too but will never refrain from getting into a quarrel with Magnum or T.C. whenever he feels they are being unreasonable.

Leo - Dr. Ethan Shah

Dr. Ethan Shah flirts with Higgins in Magnum PI

It's rare to find a Leo that isn't good-hearted. As such, people that fall under this zodiac make great friends and lovers, just like Dr. Shah. But despite the fact that they shun malevolence, there are a few moments when they happen to be self-centered.

Higgins' admission that no man has ever treated her better than Shah is a confirmation of his benign nature. He is so nice that even Magnum becomes jealous. The doctor is truly one of the reasons Magnum and Higgins don't deserve to be together. But he isn't without his imperfections. By trying to make sure Higgins follows his lead and sacrifices some of her dreams, he puts a dent in their relationship.

Virgo - Theodore "TC" Calvin

Virgos enjoy working. They are extremely analytical and pragmatic too. The biggest complaint that others have about them is that they are rarely willing to have fun. TC has these exact peculiarities.

When he is not taking tourists on helicopter rides around Hawaii, TC is busy helping out at the nightclub. The opportunity to help Magnum on a case always inspirits him too. As for merriment, TC hardly goes that route. He'll have the occasional drink but that's it. He rarely has love interests too, further confirming that he is the "dull Jack" type.

Libra - Juliet Higgins

Libras can be charming and hilarious on a good day. They are known to be team players too and it's no surprise that Higgins has a great working relationship with Magnum. Contrarily, it's difficult for them to keep out of trouble.

Higgins never hesitates to crack a joke at Magnum's expense, something that makes her an incredible work partner. She is generally liked by everyone that knows her too. And As focussed as the former MI6 agent is, she always finds herself dealing with issues such as immigration problems and ghosts from her past,

Scorpio - Cade Jensen

Scorpios can be counted on to be frank and assertive. On the unfavorable side, their honesty leads to blunt and sometimes hurtful remarks. Careless appears to haunt them too. In the series, this behavior can be spotted in Cade.

Cade literally forces his way into a job at the nightclub and when confronted about it, he ends up being very honest. Honesty turns out to be a very good policy for him because it not only helps him get the job permanently but also impresses T.C. who vows to foster him until the day he'll find his real parents.

Sagittarius - Suzy Madison

No matter the situation Sagittarians never appear dull. Apart from being full of energy, they are talkative too and capable of forming strong opinions. Regrettably, they frequently have moments where they hurt others without knowing.

Suzy deserves the most credit for her relationship with Rick taking off because he is known to be shy when talking to women. By doing most of the talking, she and the former marine are able to take things to the next level. She hurts him too by choosing to go away to pursue her art dream so an impromptu notice but they eventually sort that out.

Capricorn - Detective Katsumoto

The HPD detective is always at the center of most criminal cases in Hawaii. Because he always knows the right direction to take, most crimes get resolved rather easily. And since he is appreciative of Magnum's skills, he is always open to the idea of using his services. However, Katsumoto proves stubborn at times by getting in the way of Magnum's work sometimes by refusing to provide information to the P.I. and branding some cases as "police business."

Aquarius - Dr. Noelani Cunha

Dr. Noelani Cunha declines to give Magnum a favor in Magnum PI

Aquarians are not only observant but also very skilled. Their heightened intellectualism normally leads them to become philosophical and engage in non-conventional practices. Unfortunately, they can be uncooperative, overly idealistic, and pessimistic.

Dr. Cunha's job as the medical examiner for the Honolulu Police Department suits her well because she easily notices patterns and inconsistencies. Thanks to her observations, Magnum and the HPD have been able to get to the bottom of criminal conspiracies rather easily. Her reliability aside, she enjoys making Magnum earn her assistance.

Pisces - Teuila "Kumu" Tuileta

Pisces stand out because they are artistic and eccentric. They easily juggle between calmness and adventure too. On the contrary, they have a reputation for taking a back seat instead of being active. That's how Kumu is.

As the Robin Masters cultural center's curator. Kumu sure does love the arts. She is very fond of Hawaiian cultural practices too, such that she is willing to participate in a demonstration when a party threatens to put an end to such practices. However, Kumu rarely joins the rest of the team in solving life-or-death problems.
