Stephanie (Steph) Sersen and AJ Vollmoeller found love on Lifetime's popular reality series Married at First Sight. Now, over a year into their marriage, the happily married couple has worked through their on-camera problems but it didn't come easy. In an exclusive statement to Screen Rant, AJ and Steph share the biggest and first problem they overcame once their season ended.

On season 8 of Married at First Sight, AJ and Steph tied the knot in Philadelphia. The reality couple initially struggled with a clash of personalities, due to AJ's dynamic persona. Additionally, the stress from filming caused the author to lash out, demanding filming to cease. While Steph expressed early on her concerns for AJ's behavior the two managed to overcome their problems.

Although not having an overwhelming filming schedule with a camera crew following them around helped alleviate some of their problems there was a new dilemma to overcome once filming ended. In a recent statement to Screen Rant the couple revealed the biggest problem they had to overcome once the camera's were off:

The biggest (and first) problem we overcame once the camera's were off, is time management of our schedules, and communicating plans. AJ could not get enough time for things he wanted to do because Steph would fill up the calendar with stuff she planned. Also, Steph would often mess up AJ's evening activities by staying at work too late unplanned. After much communication and effort, we got into a good groove with aligning our schedules and equal planning of events so we're both happy.

Their schedule aligning proves to have been a success as the couple has been on numerous trips since their season ended. Steph often shows her adventures with her spouse on her Instagram page. For their one-year wedding anniversary, the duo celebrated in Sydney, Melbourne, and Magnetic Island (pictured below).

The effort AJ and Steph have put into their marriage is evident. They are one of nine lasting married couples from Married at First Sight. The growth in their relationship is apparent during their scenes on Lifetime's new miniseries Married at First Sight: Couples' Cam. They don't receive a lot of screen time but when they are on you can see the joy in their marriage.
