The highly anticipated scouting update to Madden NFL 22 has been delayed until mid-October. The new feature was scheduled to be released via a live service update this September. Unfortunately, fans of the football video game will have to wait a little longer.

Released on August 20th of this year, Madden NFL 22 is the most recent installment in the Madden NFL series. The original video game was developed and launched by EA in 1988. Upon its success, EA has released an installment annually, and Madden NFL is now the only officially licensed NFL video game series. Like past entries in the series, Madden 22 lets players establish and manage an NFL franchise and make a playbook. This year's release sees improvements in the game's artificial intelligence, its stadium effects, and the expansion of its modes with new features and mechanics. Specifically, Madden 22 has improved the game's Franchise mode, among other changes.

One notably missing mechanic in the game, however, is the scouting feature. Regrettably, players cannot enjoy Madden NFL 22's Franchise mode to the fullest without scouting. EA originally planned an update with the new scouting features to be released this month, but the release is now stalled. As reported by EA's official website, the delay in the update is due to a need for more time to further test the scouting mechanic. EA now states that the update will be ready and available to all players in October.

The Title Update will entail several features that will be essential to Madden 22's Franchise mode and help improve the player's experience. EA has promised a full scouting department and a dynamic draft board that will move players up or down in rank depending on their influence. The new update will also include detailed scouting reports that contain the players' stats: their physical features, their traits, and their ratings. Moreover, Madden 22's update will provide mock drafts showing which players teams are interested in during the season. To take full advantage of these new scouting features, fans will have to restart their franchise after downloading the game's update.

As fans continue to play the newly released Madden NFL 22, they will be eagerly awaiting the scouting update to better enhance their football video game experience. Perhaps EA can appease Madden NFL 22 fans by once again allowing anyone to play the game for free, just as they did for the weekend of September 11th to celebrate the NFL Kickoff for the 2021-22 Season.
