For her crimes against children and her wildly greedy gem obsession, Madam Medusa is every little child's worst nightmare. So why do so many Disney fans forget about her? Or what about Clayton from Tarzan, who will stop at nothing to abduct wild gorillas for profit?

There are so many famous villains that it's hard to keep track of them all. Still, remembering some of these deviants makes for a good Disney list of baddies. Check out these oft-forgotten Disney villains, including Madam Medusa, and many others.

Bill Sykes: Oliver & Company

10. Bill Sykes. Oliver And Company

Bill Sykes was a cruel and abusive loan shark and crime boss. His evil and demanding nature, accompanied by his massive size and freakishly wicked face, make him a terrifying villain. Still, he is a Disney villain that people forget because of the story's plot.

The main characters are mostly animals and the focus is really on the animal world and the relationships they make. Bill Sykes often sends dogs Roscoe and DeSoto to do his evil bidding and he intimidates anyone or any animal in his way.

Aunt Sarah: Lady And The Tramp

Aunt Sarah is the worst auntie anyone could have. She loves her two wicked cats to death and hates dogs. When Lady is taunted by the deviant felines, chaos and a horrible mess ensue, resulting in Aunt Sarah blaming the whole thing on poor Lady and buying a muzzle for her the next day.

Lady runs away and the story kicks off. Aunt Sarah may not seem like a villain, but her ridiculous and cruel prejudiced judgment really does cause a whole world of trouble.

Governor John Ratcliffe: Pocahontas

The movie Pocahontas is very captivating, mostly due to the love story between John Smith and the chief's daughter, Pocahontas. With so many characters involved, such as the entire Native American tribe and the European visitors invading the shores, there is a lot to keep up with.

Viewers often forget that the actual villain involved here is Governor John Ratcliffe, who wants nothing more than to colonize the natives and take over their land by force and violence, no matter the cost on either side.

Yzma: The Emperor's New Groove

It might seem like Emperor Kuzco from the movie The Emperor's New Groove is the real bad guy in this movie and that is absolutely true for a major part of the story. But Yzma, the royal advisor who has been fired by Kuzco, becomes vengeful and does everything in her power to get rid of Kuzco, even journeying into the jungle to find the emperor after a murder scheme goes wrong.

Continuously attempting murder is way more villainous than being a spoiled inconsiderate brat, so viewers can definitely pinpoint the evil-doer here. Yet, for some reason, Yzma's henchman, Kronk, tends to be more memorable than the sassy villain Yzma herself.

Monsieur D'Arque: Beauty And The Beast

The movie Beauty and The Beast presents a hard decision when it comes to who the villain is and who the unfortunate soul is. For starters, the Beast was a spoiled and arrogant prince, who was turned into a hideous beast by a witch. Gaston is the likewise arrogant and unfortunate town hunter who was constantly rejected by Belle.

So who is the real crook here? It's Monsieur D'Arque from the insane asylum, who was willing to plot a mad-house-incarceration of Belle's father with no true evidence of insanity, all for a bit of money.

Madam Medusa: The Rescuers

Medusa with her pet crocodile The Rescuers

Madam Medusa really takes the cake for the cruelest villain that everyone tends to forget. She kidnaps a cute and innocent orphan girl named Penny, sending her down a terrifyingly dark cave that fills up with water, putting her at risk of drowning, all for a large diamond.

Apart from this, she has two crocodile pets, keeps Penny prisoner, lies to her by promising her freedom, and most likely plans to murder the girl after the job is done. She is definitely the most dark-hearted villain of all.

Lyle Tiberius Rourke: Atlantis: The Lost Empire

Here is a character who appears to be a loyal, direct, and upstanding commander and expedition leader. But it turns out, he plans to steal the life source of the Atlanteans to sell for a massive profit. The entire crew is in on it, except for the main character, Milo James Thatch.

Commander Lyle is so much of a brute that, in the end, his entire team backs out of the greedy plot and he is left fighting everyone off and ultimately meeting a gruesome demise. Unfortunately for him, he isn't given much importance in the movie and his death is easily accepted by his entire crew.

Edgar Balthazar: The Aristocats

Edgar being attacked by the cats in The Aristocats

In The Aristocats, it's easy to like Edgar Balthazar, who commits his entire life to the lady of the house and her adorable felines. He really seems like the misunderstood good guy who listens in on Madame Adelaide Bonfamille's conversations.

He soon realizes that her entire fortune will go to her cats after she passes. Feeling that he deserves some of the fortune, he devises a plan to get rid of the pets. His constantly comedic failed attempts do make him a forgettable villain and they also land him in an absurd predicament at the end of the film.

Clayton: Tarzan

Some Disney movies are just a bit too intense for small children, and Tarzan is one of those films. Can't remember why? That's because Clayton is a character who is easy to forget. He doesn't stand out too much and he plays nice through almost the entire story. But eventually, he reveals his true colors and does the worst to everyone.

Apart from being violently abusive, he is completely consumed by his deranged plan of capturing the gorillas for a profit and getting rid of Tarzan for good. Shockingly, the fight scene at the end shows one of the most spine-chilling deaths in Disney.

Madam Mim: The Sword In The Stone

Madam Mim in The Sword in the Stone

In the movie The Sword in The Stone, there are so many fun characters and dynamics, it's difficult to remember who is the evil-doer. In this Disney action movie, there is a wolf that constantly attempts to eat Arthur, but he doesn't really do anything that would be considered evil, apart from following his natural hunger.

The villain in this movie is a witch named Madam Mim, who is Merlin's arch-nemesis. After she realizes that Arthur is Marlin's apprentice, she tries to kill him. Merlin arrives in time and has a duel with Madam Mim. Interestingly, Madam Mim does not seem all that threatening because she is eccentric and silly, making her quite forgettable.
