Some of the vehicles that appeared in the 2015 film Mad Max: Fury Road are going to be auctioned off. The film has been revered as one of the best movies to come out in 2015, with some even calling it one of the greatest action movies of all time. It went on to win six Oscars in the technical categories and was also nominated for Best Picture.

The Mad Max series began in 1979 with the original film starring Mel Gibson as Max Rockatansky and directed by George Miller. It spawned two more sequels, and then no more until Fury Road released in 2015. It followed Max (this time played by Tom Hardy) as he joins forces with Charlize Theron's Imperator Furiosa as they flee from the villain, Immortan Joe (Hugh Keays-Byrne), across the desert wasteland. While it was well-known for having insane and ground-breaking actions scenes, Fury Road also had crazy vehicles that Immortan Joe's crew drove. Director George Miller has also announced that there will be a continuation of the Mad Max universe, with a Furiosa prequel film coming starring Anya-Taylor Joy.
