Apple has complimented the arrival of its new M1 iMac by introducing colorways that have never been seen before, and the rainbow number of colors also apply to the company's Magic accessory lineup as well. A number of key features have been integrated into the refreshed accessories for the very first time, providing buyers of a new iMac with an equally new Magic Keyboard, Magic Mouse and Magic Trackpad. In addition to the new iMac, Apple also unveiled a new M1-powered iPad Pro, an Apple TV 4K model with a new Siri Remote, and a new iPhone 12 color.

Aside from the inclusion of an M1 processor and upgraded internals, the iMac also received significant aesthetic changes that separates it from the iMac models that came before. Unlike the predecessors, the all-new iMac sports a redesigned frame with thinner bezels, including a camera and sound system that Apple deems the best ever found in a Mac. Since every iMac purchase is bundled with a number of accessories, it's only fitting for Apple to have also updated its Magic accessory lineup as well.

Along with the new iMac models, Apple introduced the latest Magic accessories, including a new Magic Mouse, Magic Trackpad, and multiple variants of its revamped Magic Keyboard. The Magic Keyboard comes in three models, a standard one, a variant that features built-in Touch ID, and a full-sized version that comes with Touch ID and an integrated number pad. All of the new Magic accessories are also available in the same seven colors as the latest iMac for a matching look and experience.

Apart from the Magic Mouse now having more color options than its predecessor, there aren't many aesthetic differences worth mentioning. The new model basically inherits most of the Magic Mouse 2's best features, as well as its annoying design flaws. The same can be said with the new Magic Trackpad, which doesn't look that different to the last iteration, aside from the new color options and the more “refined” shape. Perhaps the biggest changes lie in the new Magic Keyboard, which now come with new Emoji, Spotlight, Dictation, Do Not Disturb and Lock keys.

It's worth noting that the new key features don't exactly make the Magic Keyboard any more cramped, as most of these have been added to existing keys. However, there is the Touch ID-equipped variant, and this one not only lets users unlock the iMac using their finger, but also allows them to make secure Apple Pay purchases as well. While Apple has yet to reveal more daring changes to its iMac product line, the company was able to give its aging Magic lineup a few upgrades, and a more vibrant look.
