Lyle Mackenzie was one of the stars of the Southern Charm spinoff, Southern Charm Savannah, and fans are wondering what he has been up to since the series ended. Southern Charm, which is filmed in Charleston, South Carolina, is such a big hit that Bravo decided to recreate its magic in Savannah, Georgia. The spinoff starred couple Lyle and his girlfriend at the time, Catherine Cooper, along with members of their tight-knit group of friends.

Lyle and Catherine’s relationship was a big topic of conversation during its two seasons. As high-school sweethearts, it seemed a given within their friend group that the two would get married. However, rumors surfaced that Catherine was cheating on Lyle, which she adamantly denied. Although Lyle tried to brush things under the rug, Catherine’s unwillingness to commit fully propelled him to make a drastic move. In the Southern Charm Savannah season 1 finale, Lyle surprised Catherine with a proposal that did not end well.

In Southern Charm Savannah season 2, a rejected Lyle had to deal with his and Catherine’s uncertain future. Since the franchise’s cancellation, fans have wondered how Lyle has been doing. It appears as if Lyle has moved on from Catherine as the southern belle hasn't been featured on Lyle’s Instagram account since the end of season 2. Posts from 2020 show Lyle with a woman named Sarah, and it appears they were in a relationship at the time. It’s unclear if they are still together, as he has not been active on his account since then.

According to Lyle’s past Instagram posts, he remained close with his Southern Charm Savannah castmates, such as Louis Oswald and Daniel Eicholz. Louis caused a stir during season 2 when he blew up at his girlfriend Hannah Pearson in Turks and Caicos and stormed off. Much like Lyle and Catherine’s relationship, Louis and Hannah’s love life imploded and did not last past the short-lived Bravo series.

Fans were disappointed when Southern Charm Savannah wasn't renewed for season 3. Many fans speculated if Lyle and Catherine’s relationship didn't work out after her parents pressured her to settle down with him during season 2. Viewers also wondered if the dissolution of their relationship caused a lack of a major storyline for the reality stars. Southern Charm Savannah star Nelson Lewis may have also ended the series after he received backlash for using a religious slur toward Daniel. Although he didn’t know it was offensive and apologized to Daniel, many viewers slammed his ignorance. Southern Charm Savannah wasn’t as well-received as the original Charleston franchise, but fans still fondly remember being entertained by the cast for two seasons.
