Lucifer has never really felt this way before and through his relationship with her, starts to change. Audiences have gone on a rollercoaster throughout the seasons on whether or not Lucifer will get his happy love-filled ending. But it begs the question, would Lucifer make a good boyfriend?

Wouldn't: Family Drama

Getting into a relationship with someone means having to learn about their baggage. Lucifer's baggage is quite more than most. As the story goes, Lucifer is harboring anger against his father (God) for casting him out of Heaven. That's some serious dad issues that will most likely not get resolved.

To add even more baggage, Lucifer also must deal with the common conception people have of him as the Devil. As the seasons progress, more family drama occurs with the inclusion of his angelic siblings. Then there's the mom drama who happens to be The Goddess of everything.

Would: Knows How to Have Fun / Be Romantic

A cool aspect of Lucifer that would make him a good boyfriend is his spontaneity. Lucifer knows how to have fun and even owns a nightclub. It wouldn't be surprising if Lucifer swept his girlfriend off her feet for a romantic getaway. His habit of always looking for some fun would mean that date nights would never be boring.

Let's not forget that Lucifer is also quite comical and likes to crack jokes. His girlfriend can expect to be laughing a lot of the time. Maybe Lucifer would surprise his girlfriend with a romantic dinner by candlelight overlooking Los Angeles.

Wouldn't: He's A Party Animal

In the first season of Luciferhe wouldn't have made the best boyfriend. This is due to the fact that he was submerged in the fun and chaos of the mortal world. He owns a nightclub named Lux and spent almost every night there partying away into the early hours. It's safe to say that Lucifer is a total party animal.

This was later seen when he was dating Eve (Inbar Lavi) and was more than happy to go along with her plan to party for what seems like forever. Lucifer has also been shown to be a huge drinker while partying at the club. Here and there, Lucifer has also admitted to doing drugs.

Would: Basically Invincible

Being the Devil and a fallen angel comes with some good perks. One being that Lucifer is basically invincible. As long as Chloe isn't around. This can come in handy if he was a boyfriend as he can easily protect his significant other from any threat or violent situation without having to worry.

It's also a peace of mind on the girlfriend's part knowing Lucifer can evade death. A robbery gone wrong? No problem. Lucifer is also the kind of guy that would take a bullet for his girl to ensure her safety.

Wouldn't: He's A Bit Narcissistic

While Lucifer has certainly progressed in character as the seasons have gone by, he is a bit narcissistic, especially in the first season as he was living a fun life as a party-goer with high-class status. Lucifer's overall persona came off as self-important. He believed that no one could accuse him of wrongdoing. He was also full of himself, having no issue introducing who he really is with no regard for consequence.

In the beginning, Lucifer had no fear of rejection or being told no. One way or another, he got what he wanted. There are many episodes where Lucifer goes out on his own investigations without informing the police. This can cause an issue as a boyfriend.

Would: Sympathizes With Humanity

This may be an interesting trait for a boyfriend, but since this is Lucifer it makes sense. Lucifer has ill feelings towards people believing that he is the one who makes humans sin or is the root of their evil doings. In reality, Lucifer sympathizes with humanity. He comes to the realization that all humans are flawed one way or another. No one is perfect and it's wrong to hold those flaws against them.

This may stem from the fact that his father cast him out for his own flaws and way of thinking that didn't fit his father's standards. He wouldn't judge a person for the small mistakes they have made.

Wouldn't: Doesn't Understand Emotion Well

When Chloe first met Lucifer, he still hadn't grown into understanding human emotions so well. He couldn't fathom why Chloe sometimes got upset or angry at Lucifer for something wrong he had done. He also didn't understand why Dan (Kevin Alejandro) and Chloe didn't buy their daughter a new doll after destroying her old one. Lucifer is aware that he doesn't understand why humans react the way they do.

This is also why he meets with a therapist. Even in those sessions, audiences see that he never finds the right solution. Instead, he thinks he is the one who is right and doesn't try to understand the other person's point of view.

Would: Extremely Loyal

Lucifer's ability to stay loyal is a huge win as a potential boyfriend. Throughout the show, Lucifer has made a close-knit group of friends. They've effectively changed his overall persona. Because of this, he becomes fiercely loyal to his companions. One of them being Mazikeen (Lesley-Ann Brandt). She is his right-hand woman and his most revered demon.

Above all, he shows his loyalty to Chloe and believes in her the most. He also shows his loyalty to his brother and therapist. This stems from him finally having people to care for and who care for his overall well being.

Wouldn't: He Was A Playboy

Having a past sexual history isn't what a new girlfriend wants to find out. It's also a topic that's not easy to talk about. Lucifer is suave, charming, and appealing to the eyes. It's no surprise that he attracts a large female fanbase. In season two episode 11, all of Lucifer's old flames have to appear at the police station.

There are many, many women. So many that even Dan is jealous and surprised. This can pose an issue in the girlfriend department knowing his past escapades and playboy ways. However, his exes have nothing but good to say about his moves in the bedroom.

Would: Protects The One's He Loves

Lucifer's overall best trait that would make him a good boyfriend is his need to protect the people he loves. Lucifer went from being aloof and a partier to caring deeply for his close friends. He protects Chloe from a gunshot early on. He then protects her on multiple occasions and sacrifices his wings. He went so far as to return to hell to save her.

Lucifer also reverts to his devil form to save his nephew from demons. He is also the first through the door knowing he can't be hurt. Lucifer ha progressed significantly and has learned to care which makes him boyfriend material.
