Fans appreciate 90 Day Fiancé: Love in Paradise, partly because this steamy spin-off is so different from other 90 Day Fiancé shows90 Day Fiancé: Love in Paradise season 2 recently aired on Discovery Plus, after the first season was wildly popular among viewers. However, the first season was called Love in Paradise: The Caribbean, A 90 Day Story. Although this season has a different title from season 2, the premise is the same: American citizens fall in love with people who live in tropical places in or around the Caribbean.

Two different couples from season one are back for 90 Day Fiancé: Love in Paradise season 2. Florida woman Amber Graney is appearing again, alongside her Venezuelan partner, Daniel Salazar, whom she met at a bar while on a trip to Costa Rica. In addition, Aryanna Sierra and Sherlon Mcinnis are featured. This couple was perhaps the most well-known from the previous season, due to the fact that Aryanna became pregnant in Jamaica during the COVID-19 pandemic. Since the birth of her baby Odin, whose father is Sherlon, Aryanna has been raising him by herself in Illinois. Fans are excited to see this family's updates.

Although 90 Day Fiancé: Love in Paradise only airs on Discovery Plus (it's not on TLC), the spicy spin-off show couldn't have started at a better time. 90 Day Fiancé season 9 recently aired, and fans are largely bored with the current season. Many viewers think that most of 90 Day Fiancé season 9 is heavily scripted, which makes them not care very much about what happens next. Similarly, there are clues that several couples from 90 Day Fiancé season 9 got married prior to filming the show, which also causes viewers to be less interested. In a comment on a recent Reddit thread, MotherofCh**d stated that the “first 15 minutes” of the show already "made up" for 90 Day Fiancé season 9. In contrast to the most recent season of the flagship show, 90 Day Fiancé: Love in Paradise is new and exciting. It gives fans many reasons to continue watching the franchise.

One thing that sets 90 Day Fiancé: Love in Paradise apart from the rest of the spin-offs is the fact that every single country represented on the show is in the same general region: the Caribbean and surrounding areas. Therefore, all of the filming locations are tropical, beachside, and a pleasure for viewers to look at. It's the only 90 Day Fiancé show that is specific to one region, rather than being filmed in countries all over the world. Additionally, most (if not all) of the Americans on the show met their partners while they were on vacation. On other 90 Day Fiancé shows, the couples met in a variety of different ways. Also, other 90 Day Fiancé shows focus on its featured couples' K-1 visa processes, to bring the non-Americans to the United States. Although some of the couples in this series do end up applying for K-1 visas, it is not the sole purpose of this show, as with other series.

90 Day Fiancé: Love in Paradise season 2 also stands out because it features several different types of relationships. Most 90DF couples feature a man and a woman, with the exception of three couples in the whole franchise. However, 90 Day Fiancé: Love in Paradise season 2 almost doubles the 90DF franchise's count of same-sex relationships. American man DeJuan VaLentine and Carlos Jimenez from Colombia are the second-ever gay male couple in the franchise, and viewers are already excited to see where their story goes. In addition, fans can't wait to see what happens with the franchise's first-ever official "throuple." Frankie sparked up a connection with a couple named Abby and Gaby, but is now only interested in Abby. This season is sure to be a wild ride.
