Monique and Chris Samuels can admit to "struggling" in their marriage but the Love & Marriage: DC stars are denying divorce speculation made at Bravocon. Monique didn't even have to attend Bravocon 2022 to become the talk of the town. It was during The Real Housewives of Potomac panel when Ashley Darby made surprising revelations about her former co-star. Shortly after, official source reports filled the press, claiming Monique and Chris were headed for Splitsville after 10 years of marriage.

But Monique and Chris took to her YouTube channel amid the claims to post a one-hour video dispelling the rumors and providing clarity on the state of her marriage. "It’s no secret that Chris and I have been struggling in some areas of our marriage," Monique explained while noting the marital woes the couple shared on the debut season of LAMDC. "Y’all saw the arguments, y’all saw everything that was going on," Monique admitted. The mother of three admitted to feeling "confusion" as she and Chris neared a milestone year in their marriage. "What y’all saw on Love & Marriage: DC last season, it was my cry for help," Monique confessed.

Monique and Chris Are Working on 'Personal Issues'

After noting the things that were being "unmet" or "unheard" in their marriage for so many years, Monique says the couple reached a breaking point, but not in the form of divorce. Monique and Chris are each in individual therapy to work "on their personal issues" in hopes of saving their marriage. Despite the "separation" that exists in Monique and Chris' marriage, the OWN star declares she is not headed for divorce. "Are Chris and I getting a divorce? No. We aren’t getting a divorce," Monique stated. She also noted that no legal separation or divorce filings have been made. The couple who wed in 2012 share their three children, Christopher, 9, Milani, 7, and Chase, 3. Chase was welcomed during Monique's three-season run on RHOP.

It was during the RHOP panel at Bravocon when Monique's friend and former co-star Ashley made a comment that fueled divorce speculation. Ashley, who is going through her own divorce with Michael Darby, claimed that Monique and Chris were "going through some personal things" at the moment. The revelation fueled divorce rumors that Monique and Chris quickly shut down. Monique took to social media to post a video alongside Chris laughing off the divorce claims. Now, Monique and Chris have posted a lengthy video further denying the reports and explaining where they stand.

The tension between Monique and Chris took center stage on Love & Marriage: DC. Monique wanted Chris to be more understanding and appreciative of all she does as a wife and mother and Chris just didn't want to argue. Chris's nonchalant approach to Monique's requests heightened her frustration and led to a number of onscreen spats. Viewers called out Monique and accused her of mistreating Chris and looking for reasons to fight. The fact that the couple is in therapy shows they weren't just arguing for the cameras. Monique and Chris were sharing their cry for help. Hopefully, season 2 will see them come back better and stronger than ever.
