The teaser trailer for Love Life season 2 reveals an October premiere date. A romantic comedy anthology created by Sam Boyd, Love Life premiered on HBO Max in June 2020. The series follows a different protagonist’s quest for love with each new installment, unfolding as half-hour episodes that tell the story of one of their relationships. Anna Kendrick led the anthology as Darby Carter in season 1 and, when it was announced that the romcom had been renewed for season 2, it was also revealed that The Good Place star William Jackson Harper would be stepping in to play a new main character.

At the time, it was noted that Kendrick would continue to appear as Darby for Love Life season 2. Now with the unveiling of a new teaser trailer from HBO Max, fans get a preview of how that will work. Darby is in a wedding dress, celebrating at a bar, when a far less upbeat Marcus Watkins walks in. You can check out the trailer for season 2, which premieres Thursday, October 28, below.

Along with Harper, the anthology’s cast features Jessica Williams (The Daily Show), Punkie Johnson (Saturday Night Live), and Chris “Comedian CP” Powell (Detroiters).

As for recurring guests, they include familiar faces such as Arian Moayed of Succession, Leslie Bibb (Jupiter’s Legacy), Maya Kazan (The Knick), Ego Nwodim (SNL), Kimberly Elise (Hit the Floor), Blair Underwood (Quantico), and Janet Hubert (The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air). Keith David, who previously recurred on Community, will serve as narrator. The first three episodes of Love Life season 2 will drop on October 28, followed by three each until the finale on November 11.
