Love Island USA season 3 star Will Moncada has now officially confirmed that he and Kyra Lizama have broken up following her initial statement about their recent split. Will and Kyra met on day one of Love Island USA, but Will wasn't one of the five boys who walked into the villa and coupled up with the female islanders upon first impressions. Instead, Kyra briefly coupled up with Korey Gandy and then got to know Will as he walked into the villa with Cinco following that initial coupling session.

But aside from that very brief pairing of Kyra and Korey, she dedicated one hundred percent of her time on Love Island USA season 3 to getting to know Will and working on their new relationship. In turn, Will's head was slightly turned for Florence Mueller during Casa Amor, which many fans took issue with. Will still chose to be with Kyra at the end of the day, but it rubbed fans the wrong way that he seemingly didn't tell her the whole story about his Casa Amor fling with Flo.

After dating for four months since Love Island USA ended, Kyra and Will have now gone their separate ways. Yesterday, Kyra took to Instagram to inform her followers that she is now single. Today, Will took to his Instagram page to share a lengthy statement about his breakup with Kyra. "Many of you have been wondering about Kyra and I," he wrote, "and unfortunately we are no longer together." Will then expressed how he wanted to take some time to "think and properly communicate" what happened between them, noting that he's very grateful to have met Kyra on Love Island.

Will proceeded to thank the people who supported him and Kyra both on Love Island USA and after the show. He also asked fans to respect their privacy during this period immediately following their breakup. "We are still friends and I hope you all will continue to support us on our individual journeys as we continue to support each other," Will concluded. It should be noted, however, that Kyra's statement about their breakup was much less amicable than Will's. Kyra thanked the fans for their support and expressed how grateful she was to have been on Love Island, but she didn't have as many nice words to say about Will as her ex.

While it is possible that Will and Kyra will indeed remain friends following their breakup, it doesn't seem like Kyra is on the same page as Will when it comes to how their relationship ended. Alas, time will tell if there's a future friendship happening for these former Love Island USA season 3 partners.
