Love Island USA contestant Tre Forte joked about his lack of attraction towards Black women in recently resurfaced tweets.

CBS' dating reality series is back for a second season of hot romance and challenges filled with sexual tension. During the two-hour premiere on August 24, 11 smoldering singles entered the villa, ready to find love during their six-week-long vacation from real life. After their arrival, the singles couple up (this week, the men choose the women) and begin their romantic journies. Throughout the summer, more and more singles will arrive at the 'island', which is now the top of the Las Vegas Cromwell Hotel. These new arrivals are looking to break up the couples who are already in the house. Those left single are kicked off the island. At the end of the Love Island USA season 2, the couples left standing will be put to an audience vote, with the most popular couple taking home $100,000.

Tre, a 25-year-old professional trainer, already stirred up tension in the house by coupling up with Cely, who had been chosen by islander Jeremiah. Cely and Tre developed a connection, but Tre also had his eyes (and then his lips!) on Kaitlynn. While Tre was playing the field, islander Johnny, wielding the power to steal any islander from her couple, chatted up Cely, whom he ultimately decided to couple up with at the end of the night. Tre is now left single, and as host Arielle Vandenberg mentioned during the premiere, single islanders don't last long in the villa.

Now relinquished to singledom in the villa, Tre should woo Justine, a 27-year-old go-go dancer and billing coordinator, who has yet to find a spark in the villa. However, based on a screenshot of his past tweets, she may not be his type. In response to a user asking how Black men would feel if Black women only dated white men, Tre responded, "we wouldn't care cuz we don't want them ha." He followed up his response by saying he liked Puerto Rican women. Later in 2014, he tweeted: "I want my future kids to be mixed with something else," insinuating that he didn't want his kids to have a Black mother.

Tre has his eyes set on Cely, a self-identified "spicy Latina." She's now coupled up with Johnny, so Tre must scramble to find himself a new love interest. Justine is a dark-skinned African woman whose beauty is confirmed by her casting on this superficial dating show, but Tre, whose disdain for dating Black women is apparent from his tweets, may not give her the time of day. The next episode's sneak peek revealed that another Black woman who has her eyes on Jeremiah will be entering the villa. Tre's preferences could quickly end his Love Island USA experience.
