Love Island USA season 2 has just ended with the crowning of Justine Ndiba and Caleb Corprew, but the fans are already looking forward season 3. Everyone who watched season 2 is still on a high from watching their favorite couple, Jaleb, take home the $100,000 grand prize. It’s no surprise CBS picked up the USA version of the original UK show in 2019. The franchise has seen enormous success in the UK, and similar shows like Love Is BlindEx on the Beach, and Bachelor in Paradise have been huge hits for other networks and streaming services.

The second season of Love Island USA was able to get a lot more social media attention than its predecessor. From the start, CBS was betting on the fandom that this franchise has built in the UK fans and around the world. This year, the American edition also incorporated a very successful twist from the British series: Casa Amor. All things considered, it is safe to say that season 2 was a lot more successful than the show's first outing. At this point, all of these islanders have become huge reality TV stars.

Despite disappointing ratingsLove Island USA was renewed for a second season before the first one even ended. Originally scheduled to premiere on May 21, 2020, the entire production was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Over time, however, the network figured out how to pull off the show, moving the location from Fiji to The Cromwell casino hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada. The season eventually premiered in August 2020. With that said, it must be noted that Love Island USA season 2 saw a dip in the numbers in comparison to its first year. And these even lower ratings, especially amid a pandemic (when many people are at home and have time to watch TV), is leaving the possibility of a third season on shaky grounds.

At this point, CBS has yet to renew Love Island USA for season 3 or announce the show's cancelation. As of now, there haven’t been any casting calls for a third installment, either. If CBS were to take a chance on the series and move forward with the show, then it is likely that the third season would premiere in 2021. Moreover, there are no expected changes happening to host Arielle Vandenberg and narrator Matthew Hoffman. They've both done a great job in their respective roles during the first two seasons. The location of the villa could go back to Fiji if the producers feel like that would be a safe environment for the islanders during a still-ongoing pandemic. Otherwise, there'll always be Vegas, too.

Currently, every update related to Love Island USA season 3 is purely speculative. But CBS will surely keep the fans up to date with what is going on as new updates are issued.
