Since leaving the villa in Las Vegas, Love Island USA season 2’s Jeremiah White has been working out, dancing, modeling, and joking about his experience on the show. The 22-year-old from De Kalb, Mississippi, came to the villa proclaiming he wished to find a woman to bring home to his “mama.” He expressed he was looking for a girl who could be his best friend—someone he could be goofy with and be himself around. Unfortunately, Jeremiah didn’t find that person. Although he was an original on the season, Jeremiah’s time on the show was short-lived.
During his first day at the villa, Jeremiah coupled up with Justine Ndiba, who ultimately ended up winning the $100,000 cash prize with Caleb Corprew. A few days went by and couples began to change, causing Jeremiah to recouple with Rachel Lundell on day 5. At the next recoupling ceremony, Rachel chose Caleb over Jeremiah. No one else chose to couple with the country boy, so he was sent home on day 9.
Since his time in Vegas, Jeremiah has been recognized by Drake, who apparently watches and enjoys Love Island USA. Drake shared a clip of Jeremiah and Johnny Middlebrooks freestyling by the pool on his Instagram story with the caption “Lightskins doing what we do…” On September 10, Jeremiah posted a video of this exact moment on his Instagram. “Chicago freestyle Love Island edition,” Jeremiah joked in the caption. He asked his followers to tag Drake in the comments in an attempt to set up a collab among himself, Johnny, and Drake.
Aside from being noticed by an American Music Award and Billboard Music Award-winner, Jeremiah appeared on an episode of his friend Trenton DIFF Steele’s vlog “Consider This Before Chasing Your Dreams…Seriously.” He explains he wasn’t prepared to chase his dreams and walked into a blessing and stuck with it. He expressed the modeling and acting business can be frustrating to break into and can take a toll on you. However, he said he knew he was destined to appear on television and model, so he worked at it.
Jeremiah has also been posting videos of him dancing every few days, donning costumes for a few and showing being eliminated from the show has not gotten him down. Jeremiah has proved he has a silly personality and loves to joke around, posting funny captions and meme-ing his images. The original castmate also went fishing with his family, something he claimed country boys do better. Jeremiah seems to have picked up some work as a model as well.
On the day of the finale, Jeremiah even posted a tribute to the show, thanking Love Island USA for the opportunity and expressing gratitude for the friendships he made while on the villa. “J&J Jingles going on tour as soon as my boy Johnny get out,” he captioned images from the show. Hopefully, he and Johnny can get that collab with Drake.
