Cashay Proudfoot has addressed the accusations that she turned Love Island USA fans against Trina Njoroge and contributed to Trina's family receiving death threats on social media. Cash and Trina's friendship on Love Island was, unfortunately, full of ups and downs. They seemed pretty close when the season first started, but they'd soon find themselves in a love triangle with Cinco that lasted for most of their time in the villa.

Nonetheless, by the time that Cash left Love Island USA, Trina was beyond done with Cinco, and their friendship appeared to be stronger than ever. In fact, Trina even gave Cashay one of her dashikis, which prompted them to have matching outfits during the episode where Cash was sent home. Following her elimination, Cashay has been pursuing her relationship with Cinco outside the villa. Alas, there's still a big division between some fans who support Trina and some fans who support Cashay.

Now, Cashay Proudfoot has taken to Instagram Story to address the Love Island USA fans who have sent hate toward Trina Njoroge and threatened her family. As seen in the screenshots below, it all started when a fan accused Cash of "[turning] people against Trina," claiming that Cashay's fans "hacked Trina's account" and "sent death threats to her sister." In the subsequent videos shared on her IG Story, Cash explained that she didn't know about the death threats that Trina's family was receiving, nor did she know about Trina's account getting hacked. "I support Trina. I've supported her publicly, I've supported her in that villa, her and I are very close," she added. "[We] are two women that fell for the same guy and navigated that in a mature, understanding, beautiful way because of the respect that we have for each other." Cash then denounced her fans who've sent hate toward Trina, as well as Trina's fans who've sent hate toward her.

Later on in her Instagram Story, Cashay argued that it doesn't make sense for the fans to be divided in such a way given that she and Trina are friends and don't throw any hate toward each other. "If we can move forward from that situation with Cinco, and other things that have happened, why can't everyone else?" she asked. In the end, Cash concluded that this situation "doesn't make any sense" to her, and called it "the weirdest thing."

Cash is ready to move on from this social media drama that has been fueled by a division in the Love Island USA fandom. Considering that the finale is right around the corner, it is a good thing that Trina will also be outside the villa soon and will be able to address this situation from her own perspective.
