With just over a week left on Love Island season 3, the drama is starting to really heat up. Leslie Golden left the show for personal reasons, which she assured fans has nothing to do with the spat between Shannon and Genevieve. While it appears Leslie won't find love in the villa, others continue to pursue true love and meaningful connections.

As always, some couples have been far more successful than others on Love Island, some of which have remained together since Day 1. Others have failed to maintain lasting romances, often leading to their eventual dumping from the villa.

Best - Jeremy & Florita

While Jeremy has been a low-key player this season, his most meaningful romance happened to be his shortest. Still, sometimes the brightest flame burns half as long, and there's no denying the chemistry Jeremy had with Florita upon coupling on Day 15. The two were smitten with each other and likely would have lasted if not for a twist elimination.

Jeremy left Trina to be with Aimee, and later Aimee to be with Florita, leaving him content for apparently the first time. Florita was just as happy to be with Jeremy after leaving Korey, as evidenced in one of the best Love Island episodes by their tearful goodbye in the driving rain when Florita was dumped from the island in a public popularity vote.

Worst - Cinco & Trina

Cinco and Trina had one of the most needlessly dramatic romances in the villa during season 3. Cinco spent most of his time as an ambivalent playboy who could not decide between Trina and Cashay, with whom he had first coupled up. This led to Trina's tearful heartbreak when Cinco made it clear he had really preferred Cash all along.

Trina and Cinco spent roughly 10 days together as a couple, starting strong but eventually growing tired of each other and showing a suffocating lack of growth. Cinco's wandering eye and unwillingness to commit led to their demise as a couple.

Best - Korey & Olivia

Although they have yet to become an official couple, there are sparks between Korey and Olivia. At first,  it seemed to some fans like Olivia was grafting onto Korey to avoid elimination after she returned from Casa Amor alone. However, once Korey reciprocated her feelings, they turned from a platonic friendship into a real romance that has turned physical.

It won't surprise viewers if Korey and Olivia become officially partnered in the next recoupling ceremony of the popular reality dating show. Both Korey and Olivia have dealt with disheartening friend zone issues, so it's nice to see them finally find an ideal match in each other.

Worst - Olivia & Javonny

Despite being one of the longest-lasting couples in the villa, it was clear from the start that Olivia and Javonny were all wrong for each other. Largely confined to the platonic friend zone with very little passionate physical contact, Olivia finally mustered the courage to tell Javonny that he wasn't the right romance for her. Javonny accepted the news amicably.

The two were a great pairing as friends, but as a romantic couple, Olivia and Javonny simply couldn't endure. By Day 17, Javonny was dumped from the island in a public popularity vote, freeing Olivia to find a much more meaningful romance.

Best - Cashay & Charlie

Charlie's cool, laid-back attitude seems to perfectly balance Cashay's high energy and effervescent personality. At first glance, it appeared as though Cashay was using Charlie to get back at Cinco, but over time, their bond began to seem more genuine than most. They appear to be a perfect fit as one of the five best couples on Love Island.

As the only Casa Amor member to enter the villa, Charlie is a great listener and completely drama-free, providing an ideal soundboard for Cashay to voice all of her dramatic love triangle issues. Cashay had the chance to further pursue Cinco during the last recoupling but opted to continue her romance with Charlie.

Worst - Cinco & Cashay

An endless source of dramatic headache and heartbreak is the on-off relationship between Cinco and Cashay, one of the worst couples in the villa. After Cinco broke off his partnership with Trina, Cashay swooped in to get the man of her dreams, only for things to grow sour after one week.

Even after Cinco finally made it clear he favored Cash over Trina, he still couldn't fully commit or make her as happy as she felt she deserved. While the women of the villa were away at Casa Amor, Cinco struck up a flirtation with new arrival Leslie, further driving a wedge between him and Cash and crystallizing their underlying trust issues.

Best - Josh & Shannon

As the only Love Island couple to remain together since Day 1 of the guilty pleasure dating show, Josh and Shannon would appear to be the runaway best couple in the villa. However, their long-running trust problems and Josh's immaturity in the eyes of Shannon make their romance feel more convenient than genuine.

Josh and Shannon did manage to remain faithful to each other following the Casa Amor incident, and it seems clear the two have consummated their relationship. Though they've had their struggles, they're clearly one of the strongest couples in the villa with a real shot at winning the $100,000. Still, their romance outside the villa seems questionable at this point.

Worst - Trina & Jeremy

The complete lack of communication and polar opposite perception of their relationship ultimately led to the demise of Jeremy and Trina's union in the first few days inside the villa. Despite hitting it off at first, Jeremy had reservations about moving as fast as Trina wanted to.

Jeremy confused Trina by expressing feelings to her while telling the other boys he just wanted to be friends with her. On the flip side, Trina told the girls that she and Jeremy were getting hot and heavy. The two differing viewpoints led to their breakup by Day 5 when Jeremy pursued Aimee instead.

Best - Will & Kyra

Will and Kyra make the best couple on Love Island 3. Together since Day 2 when Kyra left Korey to be with Will, the two have showcased the most passionate, genuine, and potentially the longest-lasting romance in the villa.

The biggest test of their relationship came when Will was severely tempted by Flo while the women of the villa were away at Casa Amor. Despite kissing Flo and liking her personality, Will ultimately opted to return to Kyra, who had been lovesick thinking about him every day while she was away. The two have overcome the biggest hurdle Love Island can throw at them, and appear to be headed for a longterm romance after the show ends.

Worst - Trina & Korey

One of the most forgettable couples in the villa is the Trina and Korey pairing. They were together from Day 5 to Day 10. With zero compatibility to speak of, the two spent their time as platonic friends who never even attempted to pursue a legitimate romance. It was clear from the get-go that Trina and Korey were biding their time until the next recoupling.

As such, their coupledom flamed out by Day 11 when Korey paired with Florita and Trina with Cinco. While neither of those bonds lasted, both were more meaningful than that of Trina and Korey.
