The fans want to learn more about Raul Frias' basketball career prior to his introduction on Love Island USA season 3. This year, there have been a lot of athletes introduced to the Love Island villa. As a college baseball player Josh Goldstein played for both the New Hampshire University Penmen and the New Bedford Bay Sox. In turn, college football player Melvin Holland Jr (a.k.a. Cinco) played for both the Minnesota Golden Gophers and the Tennessee Tech Golden Eagles.
As if those two islanders didn't already have impressive enough careers as athletes, Love Island USA brought in Wes Ogsbury: the former captain of the football team at Harvard University. The islanders were definitely impressed with Wes given the prestige that Harvard has always had, but it was still not enough for him to get enough votes from the fans to stay in the Love Island villa following the most recent elimination vote.
Well, there is a new athlete on Love Island USA now. According to his profile with ESPN, Raul Frias played basketball for the Long Island University Sharks for four seasons between 2015 and 2019. In 2019, Raul transitioned into the NBA but went undrafted, thus staying as an unrestricted free agent in the league (via RealGM). On Love Island USA, he was introduced as a 24-year-old basketball player from Hialeah, Florida. Specifically, Raul is Dominican and speaks both English and Spanish. Coming into Love Island USA, Raul Frias clearly had his eye on Cashay Proudfoot. However, it is clear that Cash has been more interested in Charlie Lynch over at Casa Amor so far, so it's likely that Raul will explore his other options. Olivia Kaiser is single at the moment, so Raul could try to explore things with her. Otherwise, Kyra Lizama and Shannon St Claire aren't keen on getting their heads turned at all, and Trina Njoroge is still lost in her feelings for Cinco. But considering that Casa Amor has just gotten started, there's plenty of time for Raul to play catch-up and secure an invitation to the main Love Island villa at the end of the week.
The Casa Amor twist usually shakes things up on Love Island, so the fans should get ready for a bumpy ride from here on out. As the girls start to receive certain texts showing all the kissing that the boys have been doing in the main villa, they might open up to the Casa boys as well.
