Love Island USA season 2 stars Johnny Middlebrooks and Cely Vazquez have finally reunited during his latest trip to visit her in Los Angeles. It's been tough for the couples that started in the Las Vegas villa to be physically close to each other now that they're out in the real world. Many of them live very far from each other and have returned to their families, careers, and additional responsibilities from before their time on the show. For instance, Caleb Corprew returned to his job in California after winning season 2, but Justine Ndiba still lives and works in New Jersey. Carrington Rodriguez is back in Utah, and Laurel Goldman returned to Alabama.
It was no secret for the Love Island USA contestants that life would catch up to them fast as soon as their time on the show was up. With that said, there's no denying that some of these couples are trying their hardest to spend as much time together as possible. Of note, Connor Trott and Mackenzie Dipman have been basically inseparable ever since they left the show. In Cely and Johnny's case, she's been teasing him time and time again about moving up to California to be with her. But Johnny has a whole life and career that he can't drop just like that. Still, it's clear that they're doing their best to manage this long-distance relationship.
This Thursday, October 22, Johnny Middlebrooks took a trip to Los Angeles to meet up with his girlfriend Cely Vazquez. The fans had waited a long time for this Love Island USA reunion, and it has finally happened. Earlier this week, Johnny told his followers during an Instagram Live that he was going to travel to see Cely. The fans were excited about his plans but didn't know a lot of details regarding their reunion. On Thursday, Johnny posted a picture (seen below) on Instagram at the Atlanta International Airport. In the caption, Johnny wrote: "Can anyone guess who I'm going to see?" Then, around 8:40 pm PT on Thursday, Cely shared an Instagram Story (also seen below) that featured Johnny. "He's here," Cely wrote, along with a heart-eyed emoji.
The Love Island USA fans are very excited to witness this Jely reunion. Johnny hasn't shared too many details about his trip, but given that he arrived in Los Angeles on a Thursday night, one can assume that this is a weekend trip. Cely and Johnny will hopefully get to enjoy this time together and make the most of it. They still need to figure out a long-term plan if they want to move in together, but it's possible that the COVID-19 pandemic has made moving to a new city even more complicated than it would normally be.
This Love Island USA reunion was long overdue, and the fans can't wait to see the adorable videos and pictures that will come of it. Cely and Johnny are always the cutest together, and everyone's looking forward to seeing more great moments from the couple.
