Love Island USA 2020 runners-up Johnny Middlebrooks and Cely Vazquez have reunited in Cely's home of California and the two are utterly adorable.
Couple Cely Vazquez and Johnny Middlebrooks were both part of the first line-up of Love Island. When they first met Cely was coupled up with Tre, but since Johnny was the wildcard, he got first to pick and ended up stealing her away. But he did more than just steal her from Tre, he also stole her heart. In the villa, the couple seemed to go from strength to strength, and despite the Casa Amor situation involving Mercedes happened they moved past it. Now, after the villa, they aren’t letting the distance get between them as they reunited in Cely’s hometown California. Just like Justine Ndiba and Caleb Corprew, it seems this years’ batch of Islanders are intent on nourishing their relationships, with so many of them working on the outside including Connor Trott and Mackenzie Dipman who have met up multiple times and even went on a surprise vacation.
According to People, Cely posted an Instagram story apologizing for her absence on the platform as she had been enjoying spending time with her boyfriend. She enthused about Johnny tasting In-N-Out for the first time and the two appeared to be in good spirits. Cely continued to gush over Johnny and said that “I’ve been having so much fun with my man and it’s just been hard.” The couple has faced various obstacles and their latest one seems to be distance. However, they are managing that easily and the effort they are putting into their relationship is commendable. They explored Rodeo Drive and hung out around Melrose Avenue in Los Angeles so Cely was probably playing tour guide on his visit there.
Cely recently posted a video on her YouTube channel a ‘get to know’ style vlog and hinted at a vlog with Johnny. Jely stans are in for a treat when the vlog gets released. The reality TV couples' future looks bright and I’m sure their followers are excited to see what the couple has in store. It hasn’t been the easiest year due to social distancing restrictions but at least they are lucky enough to be able to visit each other.
Cely and Johnny may have been the runners-up for Love Island USA 2020, and though they didn’t walk away with the grand prize, they walked won something not many people get from reality shows love.
