Love Island USA fans think that Carrington Rodriguez and Caleb Corprew are no longer friends, and that their collaborative podcast project is now over. It feels like a year has gone by since CBS aired the highly successful Love Island USA season 2. In truth, however, it's only been a few months. Since the season ended, the fans kept up with all of the great couples that were formed on the show. The finalists all reportedly stayed together for some time during the post-season. But as of January 2021, they've all broken up.
It all started with Moira Tumas and Calvin Cobb, who placed third overall on Love Island USA season 2. Laurel Goldman then took a trip to Utah to visit Carrington Rodriguez, which had some people thinking that their relationship would go the distance. Alas, it didn't take very long for Laurel and Carrington to confirm their breakup via different social media comments. Before 2020 ended, it was Cely Vazquez and Johnny Middlebrooks' turn to share with their fans that Jely was no more. And 2021 started with a bang as season 2 winners Justine Ndiba and Caleb Corprew made their breakup public.
As it turns out, the Love Island USA fans are having a hard time processing the breakup between Justine and Caleb. However, it seems like it isn't just the fans that are feeling anger toward how Caleb handled the situation. Many of Caleb's co-stars, such as Cely Vazquez and Mackenzie Dipman, unfollowed him on Instagram. Now, it seems like some guys are getting involved as well. On Reddit, some users pointed out that Carrington has officially unliked all of Caleb's Instagram posts that he had previously liked. A few months ago, Carrington and Caleb kept teasing a collaborative project together, which was seemingly shaping up to be a podcast or YouTube channel. But judging from this new information, it is likely that the project in question is dead before it even started.
All things considered, it's starting to look as though the Carrington and Caleb bromance is officially over. This is bad news for the Love Island fans that really like their friendship and hoped that perhaps they'd withstand the test of time as Cely and Justine have. Alas, that journey seems to be over now.
CBS will be broadcasting Love Island USA season 3 in 2021. The fans can't wait to meet those new islanders!
