Aimee Flores has taken to Instagram to explain why she didn't attend the Love Island USA season 3 reunion that took place last weekend in New York City. Fans got to know Aimee fairly early in the season, as she was introduced to the show on day 3. Aimee originally coupled up with Jeremy Hershberg and stayed with him for a week and a half. However, Jeremy told Florita Diaz that he only considered Aimee a friend, which ultimately split them up.
After her relationship with Jeremy ended, Aimee coupled up with Wes Ogsbury on Love Island. Unfortunately, Aimee and Wes only had two days to get to know each other in the villa. That is because, on day 16, Aimee and Wes were dumped from the villa together. In turn, they did pursue a relationship outside the villa, and it turns out that they are still together after the show.
Alas, Aimee chose not to attend the informal cast reunion that took place last weekend in New York City. As seen in the screenshot below, Aimee shared her long-winded reason via Instagram Story. Aimee explained that she's been too busy getting to know Wes outside the villa, as well as his friends and family members. While certain islanders were complaining about not getting invited to this Love Island reunion, Aimee felt like this wasn't the time for her to reunite with her season 3 co-stars. In fact, she's appreciative of the fact that she finally got back to a daily routine in her life. Therefore, she didn't want to break that newly-established routine at this point in time.
Aimee does think that she will reunite with her fellow islanders in the near future. However, this particular NYC reunion just didn't feel like the right time for her. Furthermore, she seems to be very optimistic about her relationship with Wes and didn't pause their progress with booze and partying. Moreover, it would've possibly been awkward for Aimee to reunite with Will Moncada and Kyra Lizama after she declared that they had met before Love Island USA.
Aimee and Wes will surely meet up with their Love Island USA co-stars at some point in the future, but it is understandable that she's taking some time for herself right now. It is also interesting that, unlike most other couples from the show, Aimee is actually putting in the time to make things work with Wes before she is ready to go party with her friends in New York City. All things considered, it appears that Aimee and Wes are building one of the strongest season 3 relationships outside of the villa.
