Love Is Blind, exclusively streaming on Netflix, has released a new teaser trailer for the upcoming second season of the hit reality series. First airing in February of 2020, Netflix subscribers flocked to this original and completely unconventional means of falling in love. While other series have tested the boundaries of dating conventions, whether it be through massive group dating or arranged marriages, Love is Blind has taken it one step further, having couples get married before they've even seen one another, simply connecting through conversation.

While completely unique and taking a wholly different approach to televised dating and marriage, Love Is Blind does have elements of The Circle and Married At First Sight in its premise. With good intentions of helping couples to make more meaningful connections, emphasizing personality over physical appearance, the series has had plenty of missteps, leading to a number of couples getting engaged without any attraction. Even though this "pod" method has helped some couples to find life-long marriages with spouses they adore, many others have were not as fortunate.

Released on YouTube, Love Is Blind teases a 2nd season, full of drama, new love connections, and an eclectic new cast of contestants. With tears already shed and wedding rings on display, Love Is Blind season 2 appears to feature a number of mixed emotions. While the series does have its flaws, Love Is Blind's goal of meaningful connections for its contestants helps improve the genre and helps show the damage of dating based on appearances. The trailer may not say a whole lot about the specifics of the 2nd season, but it did express that "the whole point is finding out who [the contestants] are as people" and showing the value of "getting to know someone's heart before anything else."

After a dramatic end to Love Is Blind season 1, with a catastrophic breakup between Jessica Batten and Mark Cuevas, fans are certain to be skeptical of the process. No matter how good the intentions of the series are, audiences have witnessed the trainwreck that can come from the process. Despite a number of failed relationships, some couples, such as Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton, have helped demonstrate the beautiful outcomes of this "pod" method of dating. With Netflix releasing series such as Too Hot To Handle and Dating Around, Love Is Blind proves to be more wholesome and genuine, making for a viewing experience full of pleasure without the guilt.

Returning on February 11, fans will be introduced to a new cast of contestants, with a number of chaotic couples certain to stem from the process. Already unconventional in its approach to dating and marriage, Love Is Blind has also faced some difficulties because of the current pandemic. As many Netflix shows have had to adapt to changes around the world, Love Is Blind has teased new changes to the series coming in season 2. With plenty of mystery surrounding the future of the series, fans are certain to be eager for a return back to the romance and shocking moments that are guaranteed with a new season of Love Is Blind.
