Netflix announces the cast of Love Is Blind season 2, and the new group of singles sounds just as dynamic as the group from season 1. Love Is Blind first premiered in February 2020 and immediately captivated viewers with its unique premise — singles date by meeting in pods and only see each other face to face once they've agreed to get married. Love Is Blind season 2 will follow the same format as before, with Nick and Vanessa Lachey as hosts, guiding the eventual couples through their journey to the alter.

While the premise of the show sounds a little wild, there are couples from season 1 that are actually together. Matt and Amber are still happily married and working on paying off their debt before they start a family, as are Lauren and Cameron. That's not a bad record for a dating show like Love Is Blind that only has one season under its belt. In comparison, The Bachelor franchises only have a handful of lasting couples, and that's been on the air for over a decade. Maybe the idea of getting to talk to a person without having to see them, or make quick judgments based on their looks or style, really can work.

With just a week left before the premiere, Netflix released the cast list for Love Is Blind season 2, and the singles seem as promising as ever. Like in season 1, the Love Is Blind season 2 cast is comprised of singles ranging in age from their late twenties to late thirties. Via Futon Critic, in the group of 30 individuals, there's a veterinarian, a flight attendant, a handful of marketing execs and real estate brokers, a slew of entrepreneurs, and a pizzeria owner. Netflix also confirmed the airing schedule, with the first five episodes premiering on February 11, then another four episodes following the couples in the real world before their wedding on February 18, and the finale dropping on February 25. While season 1 was shot in Atlanta, Georgia, this new group of singles all hail from Chicago, which is one advantage the couples have over Bachelor Nation contestants — they don't have to grapple with long-distance relationships, just whether or not they can blend their respective households together in the city they already live in. The Lacheys have teased that Love Is Blind season 2 is "juicy." They thought the show would be a hit even before it released on Netflix. Vanessa has joked that Nick knew off the bat that people would be hooked just from what he was seeing go down in front of the cameras.

Love Is Blind season 2 was filmed nearly a year after season 1 released due to the coronavirus pandemic. However, viewers hopefully won't have to wait that long for another installment, as Nick has revealed they already filmed season 3. That means it's only a matter of time before a whole other set of singles will be making their rounds in the pods in their quest to find out if love is truly blind.
