Jessica Batten agrees her time on Love is Blind was cringeworthy. She made the disclosure during the season 1 reunion special.

Jessica became a breakout star on the show due to some of her spectacular quirks and idiosyncratic behaviors. First, there was her series of baby talking bro-outs with Matt Barnett and Mark Cuevas while in the pods. This led to a rejection by Barnett and a marriage proposal from the ultimate consolation prize Mark. Next, there was her chasing of Barnett despite their respective engagements to other people. The capper was that time when she ripped Mark a new one while getting her dog drunk from the same glass of wine she was imbibing. So yeah, Jessica did a lot of interesting stuff on Love is Blind.

On the reunion episode, when it was Jessica's turn to speak about her experience during and post Love is Blind, she delivered a surprisingly eloquent answer (via Business Insider). She confessed, "There were some really cringeworthy moments for me that I had to reflect on."  She continued, "It’s tough because watching it back, it was obvious that I was working through some things." Jessica continued her mea culpa: "I was drinking too much and that was really disturbing to see play out, and some of the comments that I made that were derogatory, and that certainly wasn’t fair to Mark, who’s a fantastic person and obviously very, very, attractive."

Jessica Batten Love Is Blind Season 1

Fans of Love is Blind were so freaked out by Jessica's behavior, that many of them took to social media. After repeatedly carrying on about the age difference between her and fiance Mark, as well as chasing after Barnett behind his fiancée Amber's back, some viewers tweeted that she would be a better fit for Zach on Married at First Sight. After all, the handsome trainer was exhibiting similar behavior towards his wife Mindy on their show. Fortunately, Jessica was able to take control of her narrative during the reunion, and show that she's much more serious and conscientious than she was portrayed.

It takes a big person to admit that they don't like what they see when they look back on past examples of their behavior. For Jessica, she had a lot to feel embarrassed about. Her excessive drinking on Love is Blind's inaugural season, as well as her unfair treatment of fiancé Mark Cuevas, and cringe-worthy flirting with Matt Barnett made her a polarizing figure on the show. Still, everyone deserves a second chance to make a first impression. Jessica wants viewers to know that she's a loving person with a good heart and that she's a work in progress. That's the remarkable thing about Love is Blind. Its first season has proven that the show isn't just about falling in love with your soulmate; it's also about learning to love yourself.
