Jarrette Jones is "moving forward" after Iyanna McNeely officially filed for divorce from her Love Is Blind season 2 partner. Iyanna and Jarrette were among the last two surviving couples after a season of breakups and heartbreaks. The pair shocked fans when they announced their divorce in August after one year of marriage. One week after their announcement, it was confirmed that the last remaining couple, Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson, were also getting divorced.

Now new reports are confirming Iyanna's official divorce fling. The season 2 star made the filing in Circuit Court of Cook County on Sept. 23, E! News reports. Iyanna cited irreconcilable differences as the reason for separation and hired Chicago-based attorney Amanda Oliver to represent her in the case. Meanwhile, Jarrette has chosen to represent himself in the divorce proceedings. After news of the filing hit the press, Jarrette released a statement asking fans for "understanding" amid the split. "As most know by now, Iyanna and I have decided to go our separate ways," Jarrette told People, in reference to their initial Instagram announcement. "In doing so, we're still moving forward with the decision to file for divorce," he continued.

Jarrette sent warm wishes to his ex-wife and wished Iyanna "nothing but happiness and success with every future endeavor." The Netflix star thanked fans for their support and asked for "understanding during this difficult time." It's the latest development in the nearly two months since the divorce was first announced. Iyanna and Jarrette shared a joint statement at the time, expressing that "after much thought" the season 2 couple decided to call it quits. They cited the "different directions" their lives were going in after one year of marriage.

Iyanna and Jarrette hit it off well during their time dating in the pods. But there were always cracks in the surface considering that Iyanna was Jarrette's second choice after his initial proposal to Mallory Zapata. When Jarrette and Mallory finally met in person during the group honeymoon trip to Mexico, the sparks between the two were visible despite their fiancés watching from the distance. Other red flags were visible in Iyanna and Jarrette's different lifestyles and personality types. Iyanna is an introvert and doesn't like to party late at night while Jarrette is a social butterfly who loves the nightlife. When Iyanna and Jarrette announced their divorce, there were a number of fans who weren't surprised.

With the last two surviving couples announcing their divorce within one week of each other, fans have become skeptical about the season 2 cast. Many viewers wonder if the group entered the marriage experiment with the right intentions. Love Is Blind still has two surviving couples from season 1. But with no surviving season 2 couples, it puts more pressure on the season 3 cast. Iyanna and Jarrette are taking the next steps to end their marriage while a new group of hopefuls enters the scene.
