Love Is Blind season 2 has aired nine episodes within the last two weeks, and after six couples got engaged, viewers are curious about where the contestants got each of their rings. Season 2 started with 15 single men and 15 single women all willing to spend two weeks blindly dating in pods to potentially find a person they would like to get married to. Certain couples like Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson got engaged right away. On the other hand, couples like Shayne Jansen and Natalie Lee took a little longer to commit to each other.

During Love Is Blind season 2 episode 5, six engaged couples met each other for the first time and went to Mexico for their couples' retreat. Among those couples were Kyle Abrams and Shaina Hurley, who were complete opposites. Alas, Shaina reminded Kyle of his mother, and that’s what he loved most. As a result, Kyle decided Shaina was the one and proposed to her using his mother’s engagement ring. Even though viewers know about Kyle’s ring, the backstory on the other engagement rings is unclear.

During an interview with Variety, producer Chris Coelen revealed that each contestant had many options for engagement rings on Love is Blind. Contestants have the option to bring their own, just like Kyle did. In turn, the show can also provide a ring if requested, but only “up to a certain level.” The producer also noted that there was a variety of rings that the men could choose: “There are, like, 10 or 12 different styles and colors.”

Coelen also stated that the women on Love Is Blind also have the option of proposing and therefore can also choose a ring. Alas, most couples prefer the more traditional method. Regardless, it seems like producers do their best to make it easy on the contestants so they can focus on building their bond. Aside from the rings, the production crew helps organize dinner dates and facilitate the exchange of gifts in the pods. They regularly encourage contestants to win over their love interests and make their stories unique.

In the end, opposites don’t always attract. Despite his awkward proposal with a heartfelt touch, Kyle and Shaina called it quits after spending one day in their couples' retreat. It appears the engagement ring may not have been as lucky as he’d hoped. Regardless, there are still five more couples, like Nick and Danielle, who are waiting to say “I do.” Viewers wish the best for the couples, as well as Kyle and Shaina, as they head into the Love Is Blind season 2 finale.
