Netflix's Love is Blind reunion has aired, and while some couples remained together or reunited after saying "I don't", others found love elsewhere or still held on to their single title. In an attempt to reignite a love that was assumed lost Carlton Morton decided to take a chance and propose a date to his former fiancée Diamond Jack.

Carlton, a social media manager, and Diamond, a PhD student, shared an immediate connection while they were in their isolated pods. With only days of conversation and never seeing one another, the two singles quickly decided to turn their love into an everlasting one. On the day Carlton proposed, Diamond felt her love was reassured by her deceased father when she saw a lady bug, leading her to give an emotional yes. After the proposal, per stipulations of the show, the two were allowed to see each other for the first time and take a trip to spend quality time together. The physical attraction was there but unfortunately, her speculated sign of approval was overlooked once the engaged couple began their pre-honeymoon in Mexico. There seemed to be a clear change in Carlton's behavior upon their arrival, which was, possibly, contributing to his dilemma of when to disclose to Diamond that he previously dated both men and women. Eventually Carlton opened up to Diamond, but in a sad turn of events their love quickly spiraled and ended in an explosive argument, with a drink thrown and an engagement ring tossed in a nearby pool.

Since the breakup, a year and a half later, the former couple have openly admitted their wrongs privately to one another and publicly. On the reunion show, they expressed their stance on the events of their relationship and how it affected them. At one point, nerves filled the air when the former assistant to Real Housewives of Atlanta star Cynthia Bailey, got on one knee and pulled out the engagement ring he tossed into the depths of the shallow resort pool. To Diamond's relief, it wasn't a proposal for marriage but an act to show a sincere apology and request her forgiveness. With a sigh of relief, the former Atlanta Hawks dancer accepted his apology and put on the ring.

While Diamond appeared to be at peace with the current circumstances, Carlton took a leap of faith and asked Diamond on a date proposal. In a clip posted on ET Online's YouTube page, Carlton disclosed that he asked Diamond to go on a date but she has declined. Diamond provides a heart-wrenching response about not accepting any disrespect or verbal abuse because it is a sign that it could possibly lead to something much worse. She went on to reveal how her aunt experienced verbal abuse and now her relative is no longer here to talk about it. Prior to Diamond's explanation, Carlton stated gratitude for having the opportunity of being engaged to an amazing person even if the answer to the recent proposal remained declined. But just as fast as their love came to an end, the peace between them became tense in the clip when Carlton brings up how he feels he was misunderstood in their argument scene. The two then begin bringing up the hurtful things the was said to each other. Ultimately, Diamond was right to reject the date.

Carlton may have retrieved the tossed engagement ring to apologize for his part in their drowning love but Diamond has admitted to not being able to look pass the ordeal. The conversation in the clip from ET Online may not have been as heated as their breakup scene, but it is evidence that the two are not close to reviving their love. While their love inside the pods felt genuine and gave an allure of Beyoncé's drunk in love, that short-lived blind attraction lead to a Beyoncé version of Lemonade. Unlike the Queen and her beau, it doesn't look like these two will be securing this blinded love.
