In a grand gesture, Carlton Morton kneeled on one knee to apologize to ex-fiancée Diamond Jack on the Love is Blind reunion special. Though initially hesitant Diamond stood up and accepted his apology along with the friendship ring. The moment served as a step towards putting the explosive ordeal behind them, but that was sadly short lived. In an interview with cast mate Giannina Gibelli, for her podcast Love in Sight, Diamond shared Carlton's actions after the reunion convinced her his apology was not genuine.

Each week Love in Sight answers questions fans have been yearning for and more. In the latest episode Giannina interviewed Diamond. As she delved into her story more the ex Atlanta Hawks dancer disclosed everything from how she found out about casting for Love is Blind to her current stance on her relationship with Carlton. By the end of the episode, it was reassured that there was no amending their broken relationship even as friends.

Leading up to the reunion show, Carlton and Diamond made sure they were comfortable being in the same room as one another. They spoke privately and exchanged apologizes which seemed helpful in recounting the events again for the public. Unfortunately, repeated apologies including Carlton retrieving the engagement ring he tossed in a pool and using it to ask for forgiveness was not enough to amend the broken relationship. When Giannina asked if she still had the friendship ring and if she still wore it, Diamond responded, "I don't have his ring and no I do not still wear it." (via Love in Sight). She went on to share that at the reunion she really thought he was being genuine but that feeling was quickly eliminated after the show. Diamond explained:

"But then after it a whole other person came out and back to how he treated me in Mexico and I start seeing it and it was reported, it's documented all on his Instagram. Although he erased it I don't forget it and to the point I had to just block him and I hope, I wish him the best of luck and for him to say those certain things that he said really just shows me that it wasn't a sincere or genuine apology."

While Carlton continues to seek Diamond, even going as far as asking his Instagram followers to help him get unblocked, Diamond has reassured that she has no interest in having any communication with him. She shared, "After the reunion we have not been working on our friendship. We went our separate ways and I think it's best to say that we just probably gonna that's gonna be like that forever."

Diamond came on the show genuinely looking for love. Her emotional response to Carlton's proposal is a clear indictor she felt an overwhelming connection with him. She may have not gotten the genuine apology she wanted but she has admitted she's learned a lot from her experience on Love is Blind.
