Warning! SPOILERS ahead for the Love Is Blind season 2 finale below!

Shake a.k.a. Abhishek Chatterjee spent most of Love Is Blind season 2 talking about how he struggled to find a physical connection with Deepti Vempati, and Deepti finally decided that she deserved better than that by not getting married to Shake at the altar during the finale. It's no secret that Shake showed many red flags in the pods as he asked women about their body types and physical attributes on a show meant to evaluate whether love can be blind.

Against all odds, Deepti came from a place of understanding with Shake and got engaged to him. Over the course of Love Is Blind, Deepti tried time and time again to engage with Shake on a physical level in order to break through his insecurities. Going into the finale, many fans worried that Shake would stand her up and Deepti would be left there heartbroken. With that said, viewers had some hope that he had come to his senses after watching Shake's emotional interaction with Deepti in episode 9.

Nonetheless, Deepti told Shake at the altar that she couldn't marry him, explaining that she deserved someone who was all-in on her, which he clearly wasn't. Despite looking a bit disappointed that he had been turned down at the altar, Shake understood what Deepti meant. At their bachelorette party, Deepti had already told Iyanna that she wasn't sure she should marry someone who didn't feel physically attracted to her. Even Shake's own mother told him that Deepti didn't deserve to be with someone who didn't feel 100% about her. All things considered, it's clear that Deepti finally decided to listen to the glaring signs around her on Love Is Blind and chose to turn down someone who struggled that much to be in a relationship with her.

In fairness, Deepti - who looked absolutely stunning as a bride - was very gentle about the way she turned Shake down at the altar. She worded things nicely and stood up for herself without antagonizing Shake as much as other people might have. Alternatively, it was awkward to watch Shake immediately default to his DJ mode in an attempt to rile up his crowd of guests who had just witnessed his wedding not happening. Shake tried "turning up the party" possibly as a defense mechanism after being turned down at the altar, but perhaps it wasn't the most appropriate behavior for a groom who was assumedly heartbroken by his potential wife turning him down.

Many viewers assumed Shake and Deepti wouldn't get married on the show. However, fans probably thought that Shake would be the one turning her down, not the other way around. In any case, what matters is that Deepti stood up for herself and Shake didn't get married to a person he apparently didn't want to marry anyway.
