Abhishek ‘Shake’ Chatterjee is addressing the romance rumors between Love Is Blind stars Deepti Vempati and Kyle Abrams and thinks they're fake. Since Shake's messy breakup with Deepti on the finale, she's been fuelling dating rumors with Kyle. After Kyle and Deepti both failed to find love on the show, Kyle expressed his regret for not picking Deepti. They've been spotted hanging out with each other, and fans are hopeful they spark a flame. But Shake believes they're only using each other for "clout."
Shake was the coveted villain of Love Is Blind season 2. The Chicago native's focus on physical attraction and constant complaints about Deepti's looks rubbed many viewers the wrong way. During the reunion, hosts Nick and Vanessa Lachey blasted Shake for his shallow behavior on the show. Deepti stuck up for herself and became a fan favorite for choosing her own happiness over trying to appease Shake. In the end, only two couples tied the knot, and Shake and Deepti were among the many who parted ways. Meanwhile, Kyle didn't even make it to the altar after Shaina Hurley dumped him in Mexico.
At the reunion, Kyle revealed his "biggest regret" was not choosing Deepti after he felt a connection with her in the pods. Since then, Kyle and Deepti have sparked dating rumors, but the 34-year-old doesn't believe Deepti and Kyle's rumored romance is true. "Shake would give Kyle and Deepti his blessing and would genuinely be happy for them if it were true that they were dating," a source told Us Weekly. Deepti and Kyle were spotted enjoying dinner together, and when asked if they were dating, Deepti revealed that they're "figuring it out." Even though Shake has moved on with his new girlfriend Emily, when it comes to Deepti and Kyle being an item, Shake isn't buying their relationship. "He thinks it’s a fake relationship,” the source revealed.
Shake reportedly applauds Kyle and Deepti for "being friends and not having a sexual relationship," the insider explained. Nonetheless, the reality star believes Kyle and Deepti are "using each other to get more clout." Shake thinks his ex-fiance and Kyle are just "milking" all the hype around Love Is Blind season 2 by acting as if they're dating. "He finds it distasteful and sad," the source added. However, many viewers found Shake's onscreen behavior to be distasteful. He was called out by the entire cast at the reunion when he continued to interject himself into conversations to share his opinion. At one point, Vanessa shouted at Shake and scolded him for his behavior and treatment of Deepti.
Now that Shake is shunning Kyle and Deepti's dating rumors, he's only carrying on his persona as the season 2 villain. Shake recently debuted his new love and told fans not to "settle" when it comes to finding love. His girlfriend fits more of the mold Shake described as the type of woman he prefers to date. He tried to date outside of his norm on Love Is Blind but ended up making himself look shallow and cold-hearted. If Kyle and Deepti are an item, they might want to ignore the shade Shake is throwing their way.
