Jessica Batten and Mark Cuevas have been one of the most talked about couples on Love is Blind. They fell hard for each other while in the pods. Mark was all in for Jessica from the start, sharing a hometown of Chicago, love of Italian beef and much more. Jessica really cared about Mark, but she wasn’t as sure as he was about their future.

Jessica found herself a little torn between her feelings for Mark and her feelings for Matt Barnett. Ultimately, Matt chose Amber Pike over Jessica, and Jessica became engaged to Mark. This should have resulted in a happy ending for both couples, but Jessica still had many doubts about Mark and her engagement.

One night during Matt’s birthday, Jessica expressed some of her concerns to Matt about whether they were with the right people. Jessica drank a little too much and basically told Matt that she thought he picked the wrong girl with Amber. Matt assured her that he was happy with his decision, and he hoped that she was happy with her decision to be with Mark. During the Love is Blind reunion, Mark expressed that he was a little shocked to see that scene.

Mark Cuevas looking pensive on Love is Blind

Recently, Screen Rant spoke to Mark about his experience on Love is Blind. We asked him about whether he was surprised to see the Matt and Jessica birthday conversation play out and how he felt about it. He told us:

"Kind of surprised. But at the end of the day, there's so much in there - with the episodes and everything. In the midst of it, there's things that you don't know and you don't see. Now, looking back at it, it's like, ‘Oh, so that's what was going on.’ But at the end of the day, does it really matter?"

Mark doesn’t seem to have any animosity or ill-will towards Jessica or what happened when he wasn’t around. It’s good to know that he’s looking back at his experience from a positive place. Jessica and Mark didn’t get married on the show, but still seem cordial. Unlike some of the other former couples, there hasn’t been any drama surrounding Jessica and Mark post-Love is Blind. Hopefully, more former couples have the level of respect and good will towards each other going forward, especially after undergoing such an intense experience like reality TV.

We’ll have more of our exclusive interview with Mark coming soon, so make sure you keep an eye on Screen Rant for more.
