In February 2020, Love is Blind premiered on Netflix and took the world by storm. The fans were instantly captivated by these people who were falling in love without even seeing one another. Through their instant connection, Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton showed that true love still exists. With Amber Pike and Matthew Barnett, the fans got to see how new couples can thrive even when dealing with ex-girlfriends and mistrustful families. Lastly, Giannina Gibelli and Damian Powers were living proof that relationships can have more than a few bad days and still persevere. In any case, at least these not-so-great stories did not outshine the amazing couples that were brought together by Love is Blind.
Lauren Speed & Cameron Hamilton
Lauren Speed and Cameron Hamilton are the poster couple for Love is Blind. Both Lauren and Cameron are smart, beautiful, and kind people on an individual basis. Together, they are the ultimate representation of "relationship goals." Fans will be happy to know that Lauren and Cameron, a.k.a. the Hamiltons, are still happily together. After the show, the Hamiltons did various interviews to promote Love is Blind. In March, they were on The Ellen DeGeneres Show along with their Netflix co-stars. As a digital content creator, Lauren has produced a lot of content from the couple, including cute Instagram videos and funny TikTok clips. Recently, they have also been focusing on their YouTube channel, which is appropriately called Hanging With The Hamiltons. Furthermore, the couple was featured in a major editorial fashion spread in June.
Aside from all the business opportunities that they have gotten from the show, Lauren and Cameron are also making moves on a personal level. For instance, the couple has opened up about wanting to have a child in the near future. At the height of the Black Lives Movement, the Hamiltons remained very active and joined a series of protests honoring the memory of George Floyd. In July, Lauren and Cameron went viral yet again after sharing a video on YouTube where they talked candidly about dealing with each other's families. A few weeks later, Cameron purchased Lauren's dream car - a white Jeep, like the one from the movie Clueless - and surprised her at their house.
Amber Pike & Matthew Barnett
Amber Pike and Matthew Barnett's wasn't a straight line like Lauren and Cameron's, but the couple still managed to persevere through several obstacles. During the Love is Blind reunion, Amber finally got the chance to address the situation between Jessica Batten and Barnett. Ambert had some harsh words for her castmate, but Jessica offered a sincere apology and acknowledged her wrongdoings, which served as closure for both of them. Post-show, Amber and Barnett have traveled to a few places together, such as weekend trips to Tennessee and even a honeymoon itinerary in Italy. The couple loves to play dress up as well, may that be as Pokémon characters or Star Wars Jedi knights.
At the height of the Black Lives Matter movement, Amber was very active in protesting and making her voice heard on social media. Unfortunately, Amber's efforts to support the movement caused some major drama between her and Love is Blind co-star Carlton Morton... but at least in public and on social media, Barnett never got involved in any of it. Since quarantine started, Amber and Barnett have been mostly just sharing old vacation pictures from their time filming the show in Mexico. They are still very much so together and as happy as ever. All in all, the scrutiny that Amber received from certain fans and the reservations that Barnett's family had initially were not enough to hurt their love story.
Giannina Gibelli & Damian Powers
When Damian Powers said that he couldn't marry Giannina Gibelli at their Love is Blind wedding, viewers thought that there was no coming back for the couple. Over time, however, it seems like Giannina and Damian were able to work out their differences and move on as a couple that just wasn't ready for marriage yet. As a digital influencer, Giannina shares a lot of beautiful pictures and exciting videos from her life with Damian. With the spread of COVID-19 speeding up in March, she announced that they would be quarantined together.
In April, Giannina created a YouTube Channel, The Vibe with G, where Damian is regularly featured. In the channel, the couple has done a tour of their apartment, shared their culinary preferences, and even shot a video reacting to comments from Love is Blind fans. In August, Giannina and Damian took a trip to Key West, Florida to celebrate her cousin's birthday. However, the couple still lives in Atlanta, Georgia, which is where the show's first season was headquartered.
