Iyanna McNeely and Jarrette Jones from Love Is Blind season 2 are divorcing after tying the knot in June 2021. The hit Netflix series, which first debuted just before the COVID-19 pandemic began in 2020, follows single men and women who attempt to form emotional and physical connections while separated from one another. With the Love Is Blind contestants having to rely on just their voices to meet others during the first part of the experiment, eventual couples can only meet if one partner accepts the other's proposal. Once face-to-face, the engaged duos have just a few weeks to get to know one another until they must decide whether they will get married at the altar or walk away single.

Love Is Blind season 2, which has been compared to the Lifetime series Married At First Sight, featured six engaged couples who formed strong-enough connections during the initial phase: Iyanna and Jarrette, Danielle Ruhl and Nick Thompson, Natalie Lee and Shayne Jansen, Deepti Vempati and Abhisek "Shake" Chatterjee, Mallory Zapata and Salvador Perez, and Shaina Hurley and Kyle Abrams. While most of the couples separated prior to (or on) their wedding day, Iyanna and Jarrette were one of two duos to tie the knot. Although Love Is Blind season 2 was full of drama and particularly unlikable contestants, fans of the show were overwhelmingly positive about Iyanna and Jarrette's future and considered them to be well-matched. While the two naturally possessed some differences, their individual personalities and ideals complemented one another well.

Although Iyanna and Jarrette have been the fan-favorite couple of Love Is Blind season 2 since the finale aired this February, the two released a joint statement announcing that they have separated 14 months after getting married. "After much thought, we're saddened to share that we have separated and will begin the process of divorcing," the now-former duo shared. Admitting that their lives are "going in different directions," Iyanna and Jarrett reassured their followers they will continue to "wish each other the absolute best," while asking online users for space.

Iyanna and Jarrette, who thanked their friends and family for their support in their joint statement, also made sure to shout out Love Is Blind and their season 2 castmates. "To the Love Is Blind family and Netflix, thank you for this unforgettable opportunity and support," they wrote. "This experience has taught us so much about ourselves, vulnerability, and love! We don't regret a single thing!" While comments are turned off on the post, shocked Love Is Blind fans have already flocked to Jarrette's Instagram page with comments on previously-posted photos. One post that has gained considerable traction shows Jarrette and Iyanna celebrating the arrival of their new couch on August 5, with many Instagram users questioning the tight timeline.

Now that Iyanna and Jarrette's marriage is surprisingly over, Danielle and Nick are the only Love Is Blind season 2 couple who are still together. Although the Netflix series hasn't boasted a high success rate after two seasons, Love Is Blind has been renewed through season 5, with season 3 rumored to premiere near the end of 2022. With Nick and Vanessa Lachey set to return as hosts, time will tell how future singles looking for love, as well as Iyanna and Jarrette's future relationships, will play out.
