The cast of Netflix's Love is Blind went on the reality show seeking love, but like most popular series, an additional aspect of fame comes with it. In a recent Love in Sight interview, Diamond Jack revealed she believes her ex-fiancé Carlton Morton may have been joined the experiment solely for fame.

Searching for love in the public eye can be trying, but it has its benefits. Since the airing of Love is Blind, the cast has seen an increase in their Instagram followers, developed sponsored partnerships and have made various television appearances, including appearing on The Ellen Show. Though some may not have found love like couples Lauren and Cameron, Amber and Barnett and Giannina and Damien, they gained insight about themselves from the experience. That may not have been their motivation to join the show, but fortunately the unique experiment and its success has allowed them to flourish in other ways. While popularity of the show may have been predicted, it's never guaranteed. This brings into question how heavily the aspect of fame plays on deciding to join a reality show. Diamond opened up on Love in Sight about joining the show because she truly wanted to find love but she believes her ex-fiancé Carlton had other motives.

Carlton and Diamond's controversial breakup stemmed from Carlton's decision to not disclose he previously dated men and women until after their engagement. Thinking back on how things played out and his current actions, Diamond has taken into consideration Carlton may have had ulterior motives for partaking in the experiment. When Giannina asked Diamond if she thought Carlton ever wanted to give their relationship a chance, because that's what she thought, Diamond responded, "I thought that too...I don't feel like he was really trying to do that. I feel like it was a different motive and I think that's one of the things I said. I said what was your motive behind the show or experiment?" Diamond added, "Now I don't personally feel that he was in there for the right reasons and I feel like that's what triggered it too because I was saying that and he was not liking it." Diamond goes on to bring up the point that he brought attention to that motive himself. "He actually was telling on himself. If you listen to his conversation, listen to our argument...he said what you think I did this only for a trip?"

Carlton may have been more comfortable sharing his past with the cameras before disclosing to the woman he wanted to marry, but other actions have raised questions to what are his true motives. Not only considering his connection to The Real Housewives of Atlanta, he's recently made numerous attempts to win Diamond over. Despite being blocked by Diamond, he has summoned a call to action from his followers to help him get unblocked. He has made her his #WCW, prompting Diamond to respond in her Instagram stories addressing the outcry for his love for her did not occur until the show aired (photo shown above).

Considering all of Carlton's current actions and public attempts to win Diamond back, it's hard not to ponder his motives. Does he want more popularity or does he really love her? During Carlton's Love in Sight interview, he mentioned he would do a show where he could date men and women. Maybe that's his goal? To find love and get famous? Only time will tell.
