The coronavirus quarantine is causing many to get creative with how they spend their time. Many have taken to social media, making TikTok videos, or in Love is Blind's Damian Powers' case, he's taking a walk down memory lane with his fans. He posted his full-length Survivor audition video from nearly 10 years ago for the whole world to see - and it's adorably cheesy.
Our favorite celebrities have been sharing how they are keeping busy during these difficult times. In popular fashion, most are taken to Instagram, including our favorite stars from Netflix's hit reality series Love is Blind. Fan-favorite couples Cameron and Lauren have hopped on the TikTok bandwagon while Amber and Barnett have created Cameo accounts. Giannina and Damien have shared they are cuddled up together. And as the days of the quarantine extend it seems Damian is becoming increasingly more open on his Instagram page, going as far as sharing a long lost desire of his.
In a recent Instagram post, Damian shared a video he's never shown before, his audition for the long-running reality series Survivor. The video shows the then 21-year-old in a series of shots working out and flexing his muscles to Kanye West "Stronger." He then goes on to reveal more about his self, including touchings moments about his younger brother with cystic fibrosis. The video then takes a dramatic turn when Damian dressed in camouflage, standing in front of an amazon forest background, delivers his strategy for winning Survivor. With "Eye of the Tiger" playing in the background during this intense moment one can only agree he means business, check out the full video below:
In the caption, Damian shares a reason why he didn't make it on the show. After a year of submitting the video he discovered the file never sent because it was too large, meaning this is literally the first time this video has been shared.
Though Damian didn't fulfill his dream of being on Survivor he did get the opportunity to prove love is blind. Instead of pushing himself physically he opened up emotionally and found love with Giannina. That video may have sat in his drafts box for years, but now it's here for our entertainment. Hopefully, the producers of Survivor will see what they missed out on.
