Stan and Lisa are off to a rough start on Love After Lockup. Following Lisa's recent release from prison, the tension between the couple has started to mount. While Lisa appears awkward and uncomfortable around Stan, he is very open about wanting Lisa's undivided attention. Following a phone call Lisa received from her son, Stan began to hint at his desire for Lisa to separate herself from her children and family.
Despite the 30 or so years between them, Stan and Lisa went strong during her incarceration. The couple first met through the website Seeking Arrangements prior to Lisa being sent to jail. After only two dates, Lisa was whisked off to prison leaving Stan sad and lonely. The two remained in contact during her imprisonment with Stan taking care of all of Lisa's financial needs. Ahead of her release, Lisa warned Stan that her physical appearance has changed since he last saw her. Stan spent a few thousand to get some wigs for Lisa to wear. But things between them have taken a turn for the worse after Lisa received a startling call from her son.
In a sneak peek clip of Friday's episode, viewers get to see Stan and Lisa get into their first big argument on the show. The drama stemmed from the phone call Lisa received from her son. "I know that you're feeling some type of way after what I said," Lisa tells Stan. "That's true, but I don't know what else to tell you — 22-year-old, I thought he'd be man enough to work on his own," Stan says in response. His words aren't too much of a surprise to viewers because, during his confessionals, Stan has expressed his distaste for how attached Lisa is with her family. At one point, Lisa even asked Stan to help pay to help her brother get out of jail.
All of Lisa's family drama appears to be taking a toll on Stan. "Well, obviously I don't know. I don't know how he's feeling," Lisa tells Stan. "I'm going to try to figure it out." But things took a left turn when Stan begins to scold Lisa about distancing herself from her family. "I think you need to go and do it then," Stan quips. But Lisa gets upsets and shouts "F--- this." She tells Stan that she "wouldn't act like this if it was your child." But Stan only bashes her even more about her parenting skills. "I raised my children right. You didn't," Stan fires back.
Lisa calls Stan a "f---ing piece of s---," before storming out the room. "You can't admit the truth, can you?" Stan shouts back. From the looks of their blowup, it looks like Stan and Lisa have a lot to move past before creating a stable relationship together. Fans have been commenting on how awkward the couple appears together. Lisa is not feeling the wigs Stan got her and she pulls away anytime he tries to embrace her. This is tension Love After Lockup fans are used to seeing for couples that typically break up by season's end.
