Dan Brown’s The Lost Symbol is coming to the world of streaming in the shape of a TV series, and here’s who plays who in this story. Adaptations of a variety of novels and other literary works continue to be a common practice in the entertainment world, and the audience will now reunite with Robert Langdon and Dan Brown’s narrative style in The Lost Symbol. Dan Brown is best known for his thriller novels starring professor Robert Langdon, of which three have already been adapted to the big screen: The Da Vinci Code (2006), Angels & Demons (2009), and Inferno (2016), starring Tom Hanks as Langdon.

Brown’s works are all about treasure hunts with recurring themes of cryptography, art, and a bunch of conspiracy theories, so it’s not surprising that they have drawn a lot of controversy. Still, the success of his novels has been such that it didn’t take Hollywood long to set its eyes on them and bring them to the big screen, and now, five years after the release of Inferno, comes the adaptation of the novel that comes before it: The Lost Symbol. Set after the events of The Da Vinci Code, The Lost Symbol focuses on Freemasonry and follows Langdon in Washington, D.C. as he searches for the truth about the secret society of the Masons.
