The trailer for Lost in Space season 3 pitches the Robinsons into a battle against an army of robots. Lost in Space, which premiered on Netflix on 2018, is a reboot of the classic Irwin Allen science fiction television series which aired on CBS from 1965 to 1968. It follows the adventure of a family of spacefarers, especially Will Robinson (Maxwell Jenkins), after they lose their way while going to a new colony. The new series also stars Molly Parker, Toby Stephens, Taylor Russell, Mina Sundwall, Ignacio Serricchio, Ajay Friese, Brian Steele, Sibongile Mlambo, and Parker Posey. Just like the original series, Lost in Space will end with season 3. The season is set to premiere on Netflix on December 1, 2021.

Lost in Space season 2 ended with the Robinson children being separated from their parents. While teenage Judy Robinson captains the Jupiter 2 en route to Alpha Centauri, their parents seem to accept their deaths at the hands of an encroaching army of robots. However, the children aren't safe either, because they discover that what they thought was the radar signature from the Alpha Centauri colony was in fact something devastatingly different.
