Evangeline Lilly has recently revealed that she has not seen the last three seasons of Lost. Lost was her first acting role, and has since been in other projects such as playing the Wasp in the  Marvel Cinematic Universe films. She starred in Lost for all of its six seasons when it aired from 2004 - 2010. The show was critically acclaimed and constantly boasted high viewership. During its final few seasons, fans and critics seemed to agree that the show was giving too many mysteries without much payoff. The series finale is also a contested part of Lost history. It was, and stays, highly divisive amongst Lost fans and critics.

Lost was a phenomenon when it first aired. It followed a group of people that survive a plane crash and end up on a deserted island somewhere in the South Pacific Ocean. There, they have to deal with the secrets of the island and growing conflicts between each other. The show was created by Damon Lindelof, Jeffrey Leiber, and J.J. Abrams. Lost boasted a massive cast that included Lilly, Josh Holloway, Michael Emerson, Daniel Dae Kim, Matthew Fox, Jorge Garcia, and Terry O'Quinn. The show also had supernatural and science fiction elements that became more apparent as the series went on, which tied into the Lost series finale.

Now, Evangeline Lilly has talked about why she has not seen the final three seasons of Lost. In an interview with People (via ET Canada), she discusses how she cannot watch her early acting job on the show. Lost was her first role, and while it made her a very popular actress, she seems to not enjoy watching it. Check out what she has to say below:

“Because it was my first acting gig ever, and I really didn’t know what I was doing, and I was so bad in so many moments. I was so cringe-worthy. But the truth is. I never actually watched seasons 4, 5, 6. So I still have to watch it for the first time.”

Lilly's role in Lost was undoubtedly great for her career, as she has been able to land other leading roles since then. Stars often talk about how they do not want to watch their work, as they feel like they would pick themselves apart or just believe that they did not deliver a good enough performance. It must be a hard thing to watch, especially with a show that was as popular as Lost. It makes sense that Lilly would not want to watch the rest, as it might not be enjoyable for her.

It will be interesting to see if Lilly ever decides to watch the final three seasons of Lost one day, but based on her comments, it doesn't sound like something she's prioritizing. Still, for viewers, it could be nice to hear the actress' thoughts on the show's latter half, including her opinions on the finale. Even if Lilly never gets around to seeing all of Lost, it's good for her to know she was part of one of the biggest shows ever and left an impact on pop culture.
