There are many opportunities for unique experiences in Lost Judgment, including one side case in which Takayuki Yagami can help former students track down a lost time capsule. The "Where is the Time Capsule?" side case starts with a riddle that players must solve to get to the next step. Like many of Lost Judgment's side cases, like befriending a cat or finding squirrel graffiti, the time capsule quest can be difficult to solve.

In order to unlock the "Where is the Time Capsule?" side case in Lost Judgment, players will first need to reach Chapter 3. There is a group of former students in the Seiryo High School Courtyard that Yagami can speak to and begin the case. They will give Yagami the following riddle, "The giant's wheel lords over the tree with the most branches, three steps south from the roots. Two more steps east, and there a treasure rests."

Using the clues in the riddle, players can locate the time capsule. There is a tree in the northwestern corner of the Seiryo High School Courtyard that can be identified while in investigation mode to get Yagami started. Unfortunately, players can find the right tree and waste a lot of time trying to interact with it, but the next step won't trigger without solving the first part of the riddle.

Finding the Time Capsule in Lost Judgment

Lost Judgement - Time Capsule Location under the tree near the Ferris Wheel at Seiryo High School Where is the Time Capsule Side Case

The prerequisite for finding the capsule makes this one of Lost Judgment's tougher side cases. To solve the riddle, players should look up next to the tree to find the Ferris Wheel (the giant's wheel), which will be brightly lit. Yagami must observe the Ferris Wheel, then go toward the tree. This time, he will begin digging up the time capsule.

While digging, Yagami will wonder about the location of the capsule and the shovel that was near the dig spot. Players will then return to the group of friends, only to find that the time capsule they dug up belongs to someone else. A cutscene with dialogue options will play in which Yagami discovers the time capsule he found belongs to a woman that one of the men used to have a crush on. The former student with the crush will provide Yagami a sketch of what she used to look like.

The final step in this side case is to track down the rightful owner of the time capsule. She will be in marked on the map in Chinatown, and the sketch will outline identifying features. Players should observe the woman and interact with her to trigger a cutscene and complete the side case. Completing this case will grant players SP, which is needed for upgrades in Lost Judgment.
